"tiny" Hurricane Danny is expected to weaken Saturday (NOAA and Nat'l Hurricane Center projections). It is not expected to impact US in any material way.
As for Iran -- that remains a huge coin toss.
not crazy imho...the October WTI contract did finish in the red, as did Brent. Those who relied on the pricing of today's closing September contract may be disappointed.
He's been bullish throughout the entire slide down in oil prices: consider the potential for his conflict of interest :-) Sadly, there was a time that gentleman was among the capi di tutti in the oil industry, but time and age has a way of wearing everyone down -- even the great former sages.
American Petroleum Institute (API) crude oil inventories for the week to August 14
An inventory drawdown according to API

P.S.: It is imperative to note that I am not a shareholder or any kind of stake-holder, directly nor indirectly, of Amazon -- and, that I have no plans to become one -- EVER. My only experience with this company has been as a customer which I now vow I will not be unless and until such time as this outrageous policy on No Paid Maternity Leave is drasticallty updated to reflect what is fair, honest, appropriate AND unbiased.
He didn't specifically ask, however, Carney offered up a statistic, "80% of companies [US?] do not offer paid maternity leave, however, Carney did not support the statistic with any substantiation whatsoever, so the vaidity, and more important, the type of comparison and substantiation for this alleged statistic is highly questionable. Moreover, just look at Amazon's techie competitors who DO offer paid maternity leave: Anyone want to talk Marisa at Yahoo about women's resiliance when it comes to juggling having babies and work?
How about Microsoft's recently heraldid revised policy giving men paid maternity leave! Look at any MAJOR silicon valley/high tech company and you'll see that Amazon is sorely behind most, if not all of them when it comes to this policy in this day and age.
today, Monday August 17, 2015, Charlie Rose asked Carney (Amazon's PR frontman) whether or not it is true that Amazon has a policy of No Paid Maternity Leave, to which Carney answered: Yes, it's true. Besides the obvious that Carney should have done his homework before signing on with this kind of ill-guided policy in this day and age, clearly Amazon is attempting to misguide women who may wish to have babies AND go back to work, by holding their feet to the fire by denying maternity leave pay. THIS IS APPALLING!
every woman everywhere should boycott this company -- especially the femaile employees I believe. Can't wait for women's groups to pick up on this abhrorent misguided corporate policy by AMZN. Bezos, time have changed. Go sleep with your drones, all women should boycott Amazon (in my humble opinnion).
Bezos....are you biased against women, nuts or just plain stupid! Shame on you -- you've lost a customer. Hopefully women everywhere will stand up to your bigotry!
Today's US$ weakness probably accounts for some, if not much, of the tepid WTI reaction. Let's see what unfolds over the next few sessions -- seems like the $ is being held down to help the smaller EMs which are really hurting from the lower Renminbi...remember that 'ol plunge protection team can work in mysterious ways.
compare bove to mayo---you can't: one is legist the other isn't so "kosher" and if you don't know who that is, well, you too have your head in the sand.
Stated another way: What is BAC's Exposure to BA, INTC, DIS, AAPL, CAT and other major players in China?
You buy into that hogwash? It is nothing more or less than Yellen and the Fed hand-feeding you and the Public a crock of nonesense: basically, it is sickening to the American PUBLIC (not the Investment and other bankers and their minions, but the REAL PEOPLE OF US) that this woman and her Fed are nothing more than a continuation of bull-poopey handed to the American Public. It is SICKENING to listen to this woman and her minions AND THE ENTIRE US CONGRESS AND LEADERSHIP who are obviously telling her what to do and say and this is MY HUMBLE OPINION because it is so obvious it is odious and if you don't like it, then don't read this (you minions out there!)
