what price per share makes bots disappear?

    Hi ff,
I am right there with you after ~ 5yrs (avg. @ ~ $4). I actually bought more around $3.50+ before most recent crash to bring avg. to just about $4. Never thought it would go under $3 much less $2. But here we are. Hard to know what future brings due to legal baloney but I still like our chances to make a bundle.

I've been lucky because I also loaded up on ARIA over the years, esp. when it was under $2. Started selling when it got to $12 and used some of proceeds to buy HUGE into EXEL. I always liked EXEL much more than ARIA and still think they have best chance to pull off at least a 5-fold over current prices. I tripled my money on ARIA and, unfortunately, still hold ~60% of my shares. I should have sold more when they were in $20s but didn't need the money and got greedy - never again. I wish ARIA would come close to $10 and I'd sell and buy more EXEL. I'll start selling SQNM once it hit's $8-10 (if it hits). If I can get a double on 25-30% of my SQNM shares I'll take it and see how this plays out. I can't imagine how they could be bought out for less than $12 if they survive the legal nonsense.

I'm tempted to borrow money to buy more EXEL even now. Anything under $4 is stealing.
For me gambling in biotech is all about patience, averaging down and believing in the science/technology. Sounds like you have a similar strategy. Besides ARIA, I hit big on Medarex, but profits should have been higher - inside deal with management and BMY keep price down. I've made a lot of mistakes and suffered significant losses as I learned more about this game but I'm way ahead.

take care, hope to see you around and best of luck on all you do.

  • I'm betting they stick around until this puppy gets well over $5. Won't be long.
Maybe some dramatic event will hasten their departure.

currently working with BigPharm (not BMY) with successful immunotherapeutic that has placed tons of resources (read $$$$$) into strategies for combination therapies, including small molecule kinase inhibitors. Possible angles into vaccine approach but with much lower priority and not considering CARs at all. It's pretty clear that for maximum efficacy, combinatorial approach is best shot of success and has to be with targeted therapies known to be driving individual patient's disease.

keep up all the good work, esp. keeping idiot bashers in their place. too busy to participate with any regularity - relocated and swamped with exciting new opportunities.

I would like to keep this conversation going......

thanks ferret. good to see a familiar post amongst the noise.
yes, busy as a one-legged man in an butt-kicking contest but still here in bean town - loving new job which is heavily based on identifying innovative therapeutic targets based on genomic analysis - then validating targets based on cellular assays. Thought I was finished buying SQNM but I've been adding more because anything below $3 is a steal and this should start turning around soon.

best to you and yours, Joe

maybe, but JBO seems too obvious. He may know about it but I doubt he's involved. Also, too risky for him to be directly involved.
I'm thinking it's some small hedge fund or group of early investors playing both sides of trade, possibly trading amongst themselves while accumulating huge long position in SQNM.

programming algorithms to run these bots is trivial. Seems like Yahoo cleans them out once in a while and they just adjust program with different names. Yahoo doesn't care.

  • shows you what is at stake here. this barrage of bot-noise requires a real commitment not too mention resources and money. who would be sufficiently motivated to do such a thing? really makes you wonder. who has the most to gain by blocking an informed discussion on relevant issues of SQNM IP, pending judicial decisions regarding patent protection and SQNM's potential for economic success?

    gee, I wonder who?

yahoo has repeatedly blocked my posts for any number of reasons in recent months. Most were probably blocked because I was copying/pasting in data or facts from various sources so I'm not taking any chances.

Check today's news on MACK P3 trial with ancient chemo (5#$%$) with their new drug in metastatic pancreatic cancer. Endpoint was OS showing stat sig with 1.9 month improvement (6.1 months vs. 4.2 for control arm). That's pathetic. MACK stock shot up at least 83% and they may get FDA approval with that level of "improvement". That's pathetic. Statistically it's a 45% improvement in OS. That's pathetic. Hopefully, cabo can hit minimum requisite stat sig to move to next level and other patient populations in other indications.

Designing clinical trials is not a scientific process and outcomes are dictated by uncontrolled variables.
