Even better ... imagine the US without a military - constitutional or not ... it is socialism.
BK is also socialism
The repeal of Glass Steagall was created and pushed by 3 conservatives ... and the vote was a super majority - ALL politicians are responsible for that mess. Clinton couldn't veto even if he wanted. That said, would he have vetoed if he could ... I doubt it. We essentially should likely have cleaned house in 2009 when the magnitude of the issue was at its' peak.
And you are right.... it hasn't been fixed yet.... the mess is certainly going to happen again because WE - US Corporations are that short term minded or perhaps better said = stupid.
Obama has grown the size of government in his first term by less than 2%. All 3 previous conservative presidents grew government by as low as 4.7% to as high as 8.7% ANNUALLY.
Bush created a spending machine while reducing tax revenue ... conservative congress (after bush was gone) voted against increasing taxes to make up for THEIR PORK programs and they would have nothing to do with decreasing THEIR PORK programs. Look right not left for the WRECKING BALL.
Go sell crazy somewhere else.
It is important to note that Reagan, Bush and Bush increased the size of our government by more (a higher %) than Clinton and Obama. To call Obama a spendthrift is somewhat not true... his first term - growth was under 2%. All Three previous Conservative presidents grew government by more than that (4.7% to 8.7%). Both of Clinton's terms were under 4%. Let's put the spend thrift label on the correct party please.
Your version... now look at the other side - google trump and subsidies. He is a master at getting corporate welfare.
Also using BK as a business strategy is NOT capitalism. And Trump does. 4 BK's is using BK as a business strategy.
Trump is a socialist.
So... if someone bankrupts 4 companies. That person is essentially sharing their failure with the rest of us. And THAT is socialism. Sharing the burden of failure with the rest of us is NOTHING but socialism. Trump is a socialist. That simple. He takes when there is money to take. He sticks it to us when he fails.
DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I do.
Oh... and shame on you for not knowing the facts on why the national debt is where it is....
Uh... when the former president (Bush) creates a spending machine and lowers tax revenue. -2-2 = negative 4. This is simple math. The growth in government under Bush was unprecedented. This information is available ... I don't understand why you can't seem to educate yourself.
So, don't blame Obama as the growth in government under him was under 2% in his first term .... when bush was in office it was over 7% and 8% respectively for his 2 terms. That's insane - NOTE Reagan was over 8% in his first term and nearly 5% in his second. GHW Bush was over 5% .... Clinton was under 4 in both terms.
You can't have higher spending and lower tax revenues = again simple math. Oh... and the republican congress tied Obama's hands essentially on both ... voting against eliminating the tax breaks for the uber wealthy and voted down a lot of spending cuts - YOU REALLY NEED TO RESEARCH THIS STUFF. Don't be a Rush Parrot.... Rush is a showman ... he doesn't know the details and chooses to ignore them as he is a top 5%er.... it is called greed.
That's interesting because you just bashed the Democrats saying they are trying to change the constitution.... of which I believe the other posts accurately show Republicans are all about that.
I am pretty sure he gets the same numbers from the exact same place as Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, and so on. So.... help us out.
And please support your statement "DANGEROUS". You provide absolutely nothing ... or are you a Rush parrot?
It is important to note that Reagan increased our national debt by 1.86 T.... and that was how many years ago? Carter's total in 4 years was 299 B.... Reagan did 297 B in 1986 alone.
He gave Saddam a lot more than Choppers... look into the WMD's that Bush was trying to find. The gas Saddam used to kill 1000's of people -Iranians and his own ... came from the US during Reagan's admin. Reagan's administration armed an assassin with chemical WMD's - another little known fact is that Saddam was an assassin in his prior / younger life.
I agree flat rate... and no breaks. Also, those companies that go overseas shouldn't enjoy the fruits of our great country if they are not paying taxes - especially on money earned here in our country. Money made here taxed just like yours and mine. I think we might actually be on the same page. ????
Oh... and the whine and cry thing. really? I am fiscally conservative and believe in smaller government. Fiscal responsibility was a joke for our last 3 "conservative" presidents.
I see trump being the same way. How many companies has he filed BK with? Answer = 4.
BK is very socialistic = passing the buck onto others = sharing the responsibility of his failure. He is a socialist. And while BK is important, he uses it as a business strategy readily = 4 times - THAT is not fiscal responsibility.
Agreed on the first sentence. However, desktops and laptops will not dissappear any time soon and there is a size-able market for those still. While shrinking, the market will remain important.
And what's with the welfare mom/crack ... charitable comment? I don't remember anyone saying anything about AMD and charity.... You make some good points and then wipe out all your credibility in one statement.
Consoles might be an exception to the market share comment, but it is low margin and likely does not cover the respective SG&A (to include R&D) ... so likely a loser overall.
Hmmmm. you mean Trump is going take away all those free massive tax breaks for massive corporations (you know those that are too big to fail) and the uber wealthy. Truly what is the effective tax rate for the upper brackets? As it is nowhere near the nominal rate.
Maybe we can pay down the debt then.
By the way, you know that Reagan increased the national debt by 1.86 trillion... Clinton by 1.39 trillion... Jimmy Carter 0.30 trillion.
Here are some %'s
- GW Bush increase the debt in 8 years by 101% with a housing boom to seen in the US since the end of ww2
- GHW Bush increased the debt in 4 years by 54%
- Obama increased the debt in 5 years by 53% = with the largest recession since the great depression, massive tax breaks and a spending machine created by bush.
The OEM's only stand to lose if there are not more competitors. They must get that straight in their heads. Prices will only go up and there won't be much they can do about it if there are no alternatives. The OEM's need to wake up to this fact. They likely will not have the price point to sell more products. They will have to increase prices and sales will fall.
