News on earnings will affect stock price AH.
Exceed or lower earnings, they will sell on the news.
That's why pe is low under 13.
Majority wants to hear which company GILD will buy with the huge cash and move share price higher.
If no company on the hit list before 2015 ends, that's negative news.
Silence is not golden.
Many were expecting some profit-taking today after a 16+ point gain yesterday, 10+ today.
Didn't happen...as though more positive news on AGN forthcoming.
Saunders has mentioned growth via purchase - how soon - in 2016 or sooner?
AGN could also get an offer they can't refuse like TEVA approached them (remote).
Maybe profit-taking starts tomorrow 2 ot 5 buckets, nothing like over 10 IMO.
That's too low; total PRGO should get from MYL offer should be at least 230.
PRGO will walk away and another suitor to make offer
How can Coury save face - resign?
If he still wants PRGO he has to up the anti as MYL stock has gone south.
Currently wants to give PRGO 2.3 * MYL stock price + 75..
More likely if MYL goes under 50, he needs to offer 2.75 to 3 MYL shares + 75 or total value to equal about 230.
He's praying MYL recovers to go over 60.
Wait and see what transpires....
BIDU is a Chinese-based stock;
the others you mentioned (NFLX, AMZN, FB) are USA-based companies.
That's the obvious difference - buy stuff made in China speaks for itself, no?
BIDU is a good trading stock...its all about timing if you are long/short,
The latest Chinese darling BABA is in the doghouse regardless if it is 100X bigger than AMZN.
Accounting issues are looser than USA-based accounting.
frustrating if you bought CVV in 14-16 range;
I suppose part of the blame is market correction;
Will CVV hold above 9.xx and worth buying more (average down) wise?
You can read the financial news to find out if you are in the green or see red.
The bottom line: MYL played hardball, doesn't want to be sell out to Teva;
Teva said bye-bye, walked away and bought AGN's generic division.
MYL probably wanted a higher price to be taken out (over $80).
MYL the loser as it might not win PRGO...forced to offer higher price or walk away.
Good story story AGN selling generic to Teva.
However, no specific details amount AGN shareholders will get back - does about $100 for each share in the right ballpark (about 1/3 of market cap)?
AGN will own some Teva stock since the deal is combination cash+stock.
Probably smart move, as Teva should rise from 60s to 100s (Wall St. estimates).
We got to thank MYL for playing hardball with Teva...otherwise this offer would not have come about.
Also thank Saunders for increasing shareholders value.
GILD share price has gone south since dividend, peaking at ~ 123.
GILD stock price acts as though it will go lower; regardless if exceed estimates.
we shall see tomorrow when earnings released; market pullback doesn't help.
AGN's Saunders does not make hostile offers; if bid for BIIB, BIIB's directors would have to agree and on a "fair price".
BBIB shares already has lost over $100/share from peak price.
More than likely, AGN makes offers for another company if BIIB doesn't pan out.
Forbes article mentioned ABBV; AGN in past has bought companies which did not pay a dividend; ABBV does pay a dividend.
First time for everything.
Today's Forbes article on AGN selling generics to Teva;
AGN looking to reinvent itself could target ABBV only if on friendly terms;
That's the fast way to see ABBV 80-90 if this comes true;
otherwise, 80-90 sometime in 2016 with getting paid with dividends while waiting.
Just my 2 cents;
BIIB will play hardball and ask for top dollar;
AGN will walk away;
AGN might ask 375-400 which is too low, while BIIB wants 450-500.
AGN then makes offer for ABBV and ABBV accepts at 80-90
Hypothetical situation may come true.
PRGO should play the same game MYL did and play hard ball (lol);
Ask for top dollar, as MYL offer too low;
Then MYL will walk away, and force to auction itself to highest bidder to save face.
Unlike AGN Sauders who was for increasing shareholders value (Forbes recent article today), MYL directors out to save their jobs at all costs.
Friday of what year - 2025?
It won't be 2015!
Shareholders lawsuit coming, directors were out to save their jobs, didn't want the Teva merger.
It will take 6-12 months for BIIB to bounce back over 350+.
Some bought BIIB in one scoop while others bought at different lower prices in the past (the smart way).
Just wondering what your average price and how long you had BIIB.
all the good news was built into the stock price already.
Now, only if AAPL can see 100% revenue gains, it will go over $200 per share.
This could result in the peak of many tech stocks ripple effect.
LOCK got issues - no bounce.
Soon to see under 5 bucks (within weeks). Won't see double digits for awhile.
Barrons had a good article...just took awhile for the bad news to hurt the stock price lower.
CEO who brags in his commercial overhyped his stock with false claims promises advertisement.
Perthaps ignore LOCO and buy CMG (lol).
Almost all fast food restaurants stocks getting trashed these days.
Would you still average down when LXK goes under 30?
LXK stock price has acted like this in the past...takes time to rebound back to where it started.
