Make that Eric Rowinksi- Icahns proxy at Biogen Idec, not Dobmeier who is the CEO of Seattle Genetics and also a very smart guy. This is what happens when you post when you first get up without your coffee...Roche and Idec have tons of cash, worldwide marketing forces, and are actively pursuing bolt on blockbuster therapies
I could throw a dozen names out there from Bristol Myers Squibb to Sanofi Aventis, GSK to Merck to Takeda, but my educated guess is Roche or Biogen on a partnership...
Holy grail here- complete responses in patients with brain tumors. Obviously we're on this board, we follow the company. 99.99% of the rest of the world never heard of it. Sky's the limit, IMO. And go Tribe, can't wait for Spring Training!
I was just in somebody's office and they had a picture of a new car electric car at the show with a schematic cutaway and a Quantum hydrogen tank. I believe it was a Toyota, but not sure, the tank definitely looked like Quantum. Apparently there are 3 or 4 companies planning on introducing electric cars powered by hydrogen PEMS in 2014 ...
That's according to Cummins WestPort. Does not include conversion of existing truck fleets which could also double or triple from a standing start. Based on this growth alone, QTWW stock would support a $15-20 valuation. The real kicker metric-one that analysts and investors have not yet begun to consider- is the hydrogen tanks for the new electric cars and pick ups that will start production in Q1 at Toyota and Kia- and eventually all the manufacturers will be making them. I mean think of it. Lightweight cars w mag-drive electric propulsion systems and a 5000-10000psi Quantum carbon fiber hydrogen tank that supplies the fuel cell where the block used to be. This gives the owner a zero emission electric car w a conventional battery and a 300-400 mile range. For those who still want the roar of the IC engine, Big Daddy Don Garlits style, the keep the engine and burn the hydrogen. This is probably the biggest revolution of our lifetime. Bigger than cell phones, bigger than the internet. It will put humanity back in equilibrium with nature.
Pre-natal and pediatric diagnostics are high growth, and we have the clearly differentiated top products. There is no question the Blue Cross/Blue Shield will roll out one by one in all major metropolitan areas. The business and the stock will gain traction with every one. Double digit revenue growth for foreseeable future, and positive EBITDA next year. Buy it and bank it, like the Gerber growth plan.
What about taking the company private- I just have a hunch Young is thinking about it. No inside info- I just think it would be easier for private ownership to wheel and deal in Asia without having to worry about GAAP accounting, and as prices rebound benefit from a leveraged buyout. It would also explain why the CFO was looking for another job. I really don't care, just give me 3.40 a share I'll be happy not to have the Q to Q earnings torture.
I can't account for it. Sapphire LED supppiers GTAT and RBCN are up 20% on news GTAT is supplying Apple the crystal ID ring on it's new phones. Is AXTI in any ETF that has caught fire?
It's inexpensive, easy to install, non-problematic in operation and it's enabling CHF patients to live longer healthier lives. It's also moderate cost and doable for pretty much everyone who needs it. I'm a retired biotech analyst, I went to the presentation in S.F. and for what it's worth, I'm pounding the table on this one. Strong Buy w 24mo target $40. I asked some of my buddies still covering biotech and none of them has heard of it. When they do, today's price will only be available rear view
Just took a position. Originally owned as IMPCO (FSYS) spin-off and sold when Niedzwicki went wacko. Transportation technology is the next big industry that will change the way we live, and Quantum is right in the middle of it. RIght product, right time and now a pure play w no debt.
Large blocks of warrants from 2006 (another Niedzwicki chump deal) exercised, registered and dumped yesterday. Good news is the company received more than $800K cash. You can find it in SEC filings for 10/28. If you want to average down, or start a position at a nice low price, today is a good day. Craig Hallum is out w a buy rec and a $10 price target. This company is going to be growing quite a bit next several years.
I'm tired of the same #$%$. Increasing executive compensation, decreasing stock price. It's a violation of the securities laws not to have an independent director determine exec comp. There is nothing independent about any of them in my opinion. They can't make a non GAAP profit, let alone a profit as defined by generally accepted accounting principles. I put some proceeds in HPJ- they are making the battery for the new Mercedes Electric Sports Model and also for Tesla, they have the same market cap as Avi's Cow, growing top line double digits and making a GAAP profit with a P what a concept. Every shareholder has to be sick of Avi's BS and double dealing.
Very interesting little company in Princeton. Their immunotherapy platform looks like a gamechanger to me. Broad activity, ex-vivo, and scalable. Mayes was named COO this morning. The top 3 are ImClone people
They're making the advanced batteries for the new Mercedes E Car, they're backed by SV entrepreneur Carl Berg and ex Energizer head TJ Fisher, and they're profitable.
My guess is they are also working on something Tesla specific. Great company, backed by SV entrepreneur Carl Berg and ex Energizer head TJ Fisher. Profitable, growing doube digits.
I may get back in at 12-14 if inventory overhang clears, lawsuits go away, and price increase and profit margins improve- too many ifs for to be holding a stock that is up 8X in a year and the company is not making any money. Swithched to HPJ- they're selling all the lithium batteries they can produce and making money on every one. Plus Mercedes is contracting w them for the batteries in their new E model that will compete w Tesla- The market cap on Trina is just way too high now for all the uncertainties.
Nuh, when the stock goes to 7.40 the warrants will trade for 7-8, maybe more. It's like a 5 yr call option that would already be nicely in the money. Let's see what happens.
Here's the deal in educated guess form. TJ Fisher- ex int'l VP at Energizer is now on the board of HPJ- he is one of the most highly respected battery execs in the world, and is close to Pan and Sun, as Energizer was a happy customer during his tenure at Energizer. Fisher was also hired by silicon valley entrepreneur Carl Berg to run Valence Technologies a very innovative lithium battery manufacturer in Austin that had gotten squeezed into bankruptcy. Carl Berg who owns the emergent Valence is now an investor in HPJ and the Valence lithium phosphate intellectual property and production could be moving to the new HPJ plant - perhaps the most state of the art battery manufacturing facility in the world that is about to open. They will be designing and producing the batteries for the new Daimler/Mercedes EV as well as for the Smith commercial EV's in Great Britain. I am not aware of any public discussion of any of this- as you know leading edge technology stuff is kept quiet at the request of the customers. I am confident there is a huge deal here, it involves advanced EV batteries, and news will be released sometime in the next 3 weeks or so. That's all I can tell you. Good luck and God bless.......
Well my hedge is $ a bottle of tequila and $100 for a massage. Live all in dude, there are no days promised. There is a certain irony here considering the devices produced in Eden Prairie. Life is a gift, and so is Sunshine. Good luck and God bless ya'll
