  • Chalk it up to one jealous woman and her hedgefund manager husband. That's right, Im talking Margaret Hamburg and her husband, Peter Fitzhugh Brown, who were required to divest themselves of several hedge-fund holdings as well as some of Mr. Brown's inherited drug-company stocks so Dr. Hamburg could take the post as the nation's top food and drug regulator. Mr. Brown is a lieutenant to hedge-fund magnate James Simons.
The couple's income has largely originated in stocks, money-market accounts, trusts and funds including several affiliated with hedge-fund sponsor Renaissance Technologies, where Mr. Brown works.

The couple controls assets worth between $21 million and $40 million, according to disclosure forms Dr. Hamburg gave the White House. The forms don't reveal exact figures, just ranges.

Despite her qualifications as a scientist, one would be hard pressed to make the case that Ms. Hamburgs position does NOT present a conflict of interest when it comes to Mannkind.

Before her FDA nomination, Dr. Hamburg also served for five years on the board of Henry Schein Inc., a $4 billion firm that distributes medical and dental supplies including vaccines. Her remuneration has been in the form of Schein shares....

The real problem I have with Zacks is the fact that they are supposedly a company engaged in the critical analysis of evaluating the fundamentals behind a company yet in the case of audiocodes, the only real analysis they've done is to compare the viewpoints of the relatively few OTHER analysts covering this stock and then drawing a conclusion on their conclusion!! What kind of chickenshyyttt is that? Zacks used to have my respect, but the latest piece on Audiocodes thoroughly fails and points to the laziest of analysis techniques; hmmmm, what do we think? Uhhhhmmmm uhhhhh, we think that we don't like it because these other guys don't like it.
But JUST HOLD ON FOR A MINUTE ZACKS!!! HAVE THESE OTHER ANALYSTS EVER BEEN A CHAMPION FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THEIR OWN ACCOUNTS? NO, so far they have not. Hence, my advice to anyone interestest in this stock: Buy when the pundits and analysts say to sell, and sell when they say to buy. Unfortunately the "list" now includes Zacks.

Please telll us about your "brick wall" when this stock hits 100.00 per share and does a 5 for 1 split.
THEN you can tell us about the "brick wall".

  • Remember? We sold off from 4.00 over the lack of shareholder conviction.
Stock should'nt have dumped more than .50c to 1.00 Putting us at 2.50
Crazy mfers just dont know whether to shyyttt or go blind

Nothing more than a couple of illegal manipulators selling the same shares back and forth to each other to drive the price down and scare the foolish nitwits into selling at needless loss.

Your bitter, you're angry and delusional. Blame the game players on Wall St if you got ripped off. There were no new dilutions after the past 2 quarterly reports so find a better reason before you come here to whine again.

  • Prior to three days ago, I had around 46,000 shares accumulated at an average price of around 8.00 over the past 2 years. These were held in my margin account. No more. I sold them and repurchased in my ROTH ACCOUNT where I will not be taxed on the inevitably large earnings even if we only go back to where I bought - I've got the tax loss in my other account to use for future earnings in other stocks.

  • Im not sure why some lame brains are selling today. Im sure it has to do with the manipulative headline that's claiming a .01 miss. There was no miss by company's own guidance, so Im not sure whether the headline is legitimate or just the usual manipulation in the financial press - will it ever end. I really don't expect the stock to close substantially down by the end of the day and may actually close in the green if my suspicions prove accurate. At any rate, Im a buyer here and will likely continue to average in over the next quarter. Best of luck to all!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The REVS tell a different story however and when combined with statements from management are quite encouraging. Continued strong growth in revs and especially in SBC business.
Here's the really sweet spot and the reason why those who hold may see some nice rewards in the upcoming quarter:
""We are very pleased to report strong growth of our networking business for the second quarter of 2014. This business comprised 88% of our revenues in the quarter. Driven by solid progress across all market segments, our networking business revenues grew 15.3% over the year-ago quarter, and 8.1% over the previous quarter," said Shabtai Adlersberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of AudioCodes. "We experienced record sales of our Session Border Controller line which grew more than 100% over the year-ago quarter and more than 30% over the previous quarter. Sales of the New Products group category comprising of SBC, Multi-service routers and IP Phones increased more than 30% compared to the previous quarter. In addition to these successes, we continued to grow in the Microsoft Lync segment in-line with our stated plan for 2014 to grow this segment by more than 40% over 2013." THAT my friends is what I believe most industry analysts have been waiting for. While I don't expect the "strong buy" camp to roll out their banners tomorrow, what we may attract are some new suitors to the table who simply wish to announce "coverage".

You pretty much cover my incentive for buying and holding shares of MNKD today. IMO anything under 10.00 is an absolute steal and almost certain money maker. However, I expect, like you, many multiples of that as our final reward here.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

While I agree with your overall premise stockstudent99, you're track record is none to good itself. I can't be bothered to go research soccerdad as I do all of my own due diligence, however I would like to draw the boards attention to your post on the AAPL board 3 months ago in mid april. You were busy throwing water on AAPL management, the split and their overall business plan. Since that time shares of AAPL have appreciated around 20% for a compounded annualized rate of over 100%. No offense intended here, Im just calling a spade a spade. BTW, my sources in the business and network app sales arena have hinted that we may be seeing a big surprise to the AUDC guidance with this quarters numbers. Things are going exceedingly well.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
