Easy there dano. you may hurt yourself. Now if you were short in this situation, knowing what you know, what would you do? Would you give in and wait or hold on and let your ego stand in the way of smart investing.
that was established when the original tender offer was announced. That's the level at which it was met with selling pressure and it never made it back there again. Look for a test of that level late in the day as I would assume that the response from the bond holders would occur in the AH session.
Don't worry about the shorts. They always escape unharmed. Very few short squeezes ever get implemented to the point where maximum pain is ever felt.
Down to $1.86 that fast. Watch out for the PM head fakes....Just saying. Shorts need some new blood and this s one way they can get it. Raise the artificially and then short hard at the open. Not quite Miller time until we see $5 again.
a hundred freaking times. Nothing is happening with this tight of a range.
And VVUS can outright refuse the offer too. Tomorrow nothing will be determined.
I still say it's a dead issue. It will just pass quietly like a one cheek sneak. Ichan does not really want this company or he would just make a radical bid for it outright at the current price. He can definitely afford it. Not sure what the hidden agenda was or is with the tender offer but like most bio techs waiting for news, it's usually a downer.
I wonder if OREX can develop another version that can be taken all year long to create a more constant revenue stream versus one that can only last 3-6 months at a time.
The problem is the market fluctuates every 6 months. Why people start and stop on this drug is beyond me. Maybe when they see that they still have to exercise and eat right, they figure why pay for a drug that doesn't do all that for me. They would rather spend their extra money on a cheeseburger and diet coke.
Come on, you know that's how they dump/accumulate without affecting the PPS. It's done all the time. It should be no surprise to anyone.
Come and get em!!!
Why is everything so quiet right now? Why wait until tomorrow at 5:00 to announce the tender offer has been accepted or denied? I just can't see this jumping 470% tomorrow to $10/share. Someone is building this up more than it will be. Shorts would have started covering by now if it was a legit concern for them. Don't you think?
Lets say the bonds get converted, where does the $10 value automatically come from? Why would a buyer want to pay up for a dud that they could buy down here and just go long for a quick buck Doesn't add up to me. One man can't cause a short squeeze by himself and if he had that kind of pressure, why wouldn't the shorts who are smart (and I know there may not be many, get out while they can).
