Totally agree. When the management finally throws in the towel, the stock will double. The only questions are when will they do this and how much money will be wasted before they throw in the towel.
I wonder how many people read this board?
My statements reflect what I believe. The management needs to wise up. They are in denial and on an illusion cloud that they will make it big with SOC. NOT A CHANCE. Too late for this. if there is a challenge to the board by Accretive Capital then all stock holders should vote for the new guys. This is the only hope for this stock to recover.
Time for Actions to make and sell SoC processor chips is long gone. The market is divided between companies like MediaTech, Intel and Qualcom. MediaTech is hundreds of times larger than Actions and is build into many of the Chinese tablets and phones. They used to be only in phones so maybe Actions had a chance. This time is gone. Other competitors also have 64 bit processors. Zero chances for Actions to beat Mediatech in tablets. There are also smaller, 2d tier manufacturers like Allwiner and Rockchip. These are also in many Chinese tablets. Actions is way behind them and no chance to catch up. Actions were in only two tablets: Ainol and Ramos. However they lost Ainol due to quality issues and I think that Ramos also is not using Actions any more.
Actions could as well to decide to manufacture cars or airplanes. They also would have zero chances to break into these markets. Nobody in China takes Actions as a serious manufacturer of processor chips.
The management has to wise up and stop wasting money. Good manager knows when to cut his losses and get out of the losing battle. Actions must get out of this fiasco as soon as possible. There are other good businesses in which the company can invest. Open a restaurant or just keep the money in the bank collecting interest. Anything is better than this endless bleeding of cash. There are about $3 per share in book value. One decision by the management and the stock price will double.
If management were to change direction and disband their efforts to develop SOC processor chips.
This company has zero chances to win against much bigger competitors. There is no place for Actions chips in the market. Management does it for their wounded ego reasons. One of top companies that are successful in SOC chip market, Allwinner, was started by a group of engineers that left Actions few years agbusiness. tions wants to compete with them and teach them a lesson. This is a bad reason to be in any business.
Actions management, little by little is stubbornly wasting away all company cash just to show everyone that they are right and Allwinner was wrong. The management has to wake up before all stockholders lose their investments.
I agree. The current strategy is a failure. The current team has to go. Accretive and other investors should take over.
With the current management in complete control they are free to follow hopeless strategy of competition with much larger companies like Media Tek, Intel etc. They prevent shareholders from unlocking these $3.77 Instead ACLS loses money every quarter. There seems to be no end in sight as the company market position shrinks and losses mount.
Not true. In fact Actions has at the moment the most advanced SoC chip on the China market. Way ahead of its competition. Sales should be just a matter of time. When sales come then this stock will rock.
This is what was needed for ACTS to leapfrog the competitors. It was done. Now is time to show new sales. I wonder what they will say during the quaterly conf call about sales of this new chip.
