Let me know if you're sure ... I will take out a mortgage & load up on some Jan2015 $22 Calls. Think I call get 10,000 of them. Should be able to buy my own Caribbean island before the winter gets too nasty. Gotta know for sure though ... would hate to lose my house. Thanks.
Time to cover NO ... The upcoming report will surprise you, and it won't be a positive tickle. More like a cattle prod between your cheeks ... You can pick which ones.
The value is what people are willing to pay for it. Just that plain and simple. One can develop theories as to any exception, but the BL is that people will buy value at the right price. Apparently there are not enough investors out there that feel CHK is worth $40 per share ... or even $28. Not my opinion, but that is what the market is telling us. I think different, and continue to load up on Jan2015 Calls. Not too worried about any conspiracy theories.
I think the late timing of the quarter report leaves the door open for low volume and subsequent short activity. Just my opinion. Oh, I occasionally get a hard-on for the brunette across the street!
This company controls a lot of the future energy that this country needs. Buy when there is blood in the street. Have a good night and hang in there.
Does anybody know what happened to that "Hammer" that was suppose to drive us higher. Seems somebody forgot to open the "efin'" tool box.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The real point here ... if you are not comfortable with CHK, and would rather own OAS, then make the move. No one here can predict the future. Nor can they explain the lack of logical valuation that can often exist in the market. If they could, I am sure they would be elsewhere enjoying their riches.
Still don't get it. The efin' market cap is immaterial. It's the efin' valuation that is important. Don't care if the beitch traded at $4.80 or $48. If the investment is undervalued, then it is undervalued. Doesn't really matter what happened yesterday. What does matter is what happens tomorrow.
Lots of shorts here. A rationalized value will eventually present itself. For now, the market views CHK at its current stock valuation. If you're looking to go deeper into the loony bin, buy some C. The thought on proper LT investing is to buy undervalued companies when nobody else wants them, then be patient. GL.
$50 Calls are actually looking pretty darn good today. Sold half to cover costs and guess the rest will just have to ride for a bit longer.
So, if you are done here, then please move on from this POS. If you are Short or loaded up on Puts, then offer some rationale to that position and good luck on your trading. Talking about 4-5 years ago is a touch pathetic.
Intelligent people don't dwell on the past. They learn from it and move on.
Why don't you please do the same?
I don't think there was a lot of short volume change the last time CHK dropped to the $26 or $24 range. So, question would be why. Are they long term and continuing to stay short on the bigger drops? Have they been hanging around since the stock traded in the mid teens? Do they expect the related resources to drop so that CHK falls back to much lower levels? The 1st quarter results did not appear to have much, if any affect on the level of shorting ... not a whole lot of covering.
NO: I would love to see this take a hit down to the "low 20's" as you say has happened "time after time". Would allow me to do some serious Call buying. Oh, don't forget to add the current SSE value to the new CHK SP when you do your price rationalizations. Hope you're having a great WE and enjoy your Friday ST gain. Did you cover? JB
