This trading range is almost over...

Wow, two days later and we're 29% higher and the excitement is building with our phase 3 trial now paid for. If this doesn't bring the upgrades and get us noticed, they can pound sand, but I think it will and that the doldrums for NBS shareholders is OVER. Those who held through the uncertainty and pain of low stock price, are now rewarded. This is only the beginning. Big things are in store for us if we hold to the faith and let management execute on their business plan. I am not trading this, holding! I may try to add 3,000 more shares, have to grab the money from another position though.

  • jrdelane jrdelane May 21, 2015 10:42 PM Flag

At this point, I think the reversal is in and we move on up. I added today at 54.40 just as it was headed off the floor. 900 shares now, want another 100 if it drops.

  • Dr. Randal C. Mills, CEO at CIRM announced the grant award to Neostem today (NBS) for nearly $18M grant. Shares rose 28% during the balance of the session and were up after hours another 8%. Could be a good open tomorrow, closing at 2.95. NBS20 is (hopefully) in the bag and trial cost now covered. This grant adds .50 a share to the company's cash. Takes away a short's thesis about having to raise money. For me, it's not a trade, but a good long term hold I'm in so low.

    SIO added 320,639 shares

It makes you wonder what they are looking at to buy this many shares. I like what they are doing, but you sure can't gain any confidence watching how the shares trade. These 'tutes are relying upon the whole dynamic changing by the time they come back to sell their shares. They probably bought them in the last capital raise, surely not in the open market we see day to day.

    Late Dump?

The shorts are having a hey day with this thinly traded stock. Easy for them to set up a program and drop it in 100 share increments. If you hold shares of any size, try getting out, there is little demand. The only hope is that the Company will execute their business strategy and get some good news flowing. The best defense is a good offense. It's long term hold, or a dump which is what likely happened to a holder who said he's had enough today. 109,400 shares traded today, which is the most volume since March 16th when we traded 100,000 shares. We need news, something big to stem the tide.

  • and you want another profitable name, look into LCI, they are a generic specialty pharma also profitable, for years now. Recently corrected from 72 to 52-54 area, am holding a position there as diversification. Their price to sales is 5.21 whereas that of HZNP is 12.98. The diversion is huge, both are growing by acquisition, and yet by different models, HZNP is more leveraged and aggressive, but LCI is also well managed and has a great balance sheet and a respectable YMB if that is important to you. My boat is now full. My best developmental biotech today was NBS, strongly up on news--they got a CIRM grant for nearly $18MM today, awarded to them to advance their phase 3 candidate. Good luck people.

    Slo Stoc.

jrdelane jrdelane May 21, 2015 6:56 PM Flag

I see the MACD about to cross into positive histogam territory, but Slo Sto is at 85 K=5, D=1 or 81.28 K=14, D=3. Your point is what, we have a bullish chart? I like the MACD and the KST (know sure thing) indicators flashing a buy signal. Slow sto is too early to say, but could be rolling over or if not, a horizontal move. AH sold off on low volume today, may not mean anything, don't assign any importance to it. Anyway, this is a years long investment, we don't need to isolate a day, we're good.

Now, May 21st your words are those who sees the future and places their bets on it. I was in too, holding 7,000 shares, congrats, we are now going to have momentum. Shorts get their due here.

Minne, We keep owning some of the same good stocks. IDRA, OSIR, now NBS. I had 5,000 shares at 2.44 and added another 1,000 this morning at 2.30. Then I saw the news come across and got another 1,000 at 2.68! 7,000 at 2.46, ahead of the big demand, and I like their chances to get their Phase 3 trial results. Holding it! I had made two successful trades just after Christmas when it ran to $4 twice. This time I plan to hold on. GLL. Jr.

Lube, welcome! I started accumulating in December. Holding a sturdy 10K shares, average $15.86. Love the forward looking earnings beats, low float, management, and partnerships, not to underestimate the clinic and pipeline. You'll do great here! It's my #3 position, with Hznp and IDRA being the two other large positions.

Twice in January, 2014 we couldn't break through, and March 2015, we pierced for a few days, but couldn't hold it. Other times similar bounce back under. No worries, we broke it today!

Looks like it's almost time here, to re-enter? You can't miss at $2.10. That's where I first bought HZNP, today closed over $30. I like it.

Maybe now I will rediscover my first big bet on a much smaller scale? I've always profited on ATRS, but it was not fun. That is the past, over! Thanks for posting your thoughts, no sarcasm detected.

That's my blessing, having sold all shares at .655 a month ago. Then it was too cheap but had a nice profit and what I bought is up big. I may be a buyer now that it is cheap again, or is it?

What I've noticed is a drop in the early part of the trading session, to low 2.20's, like today to 2,.22. There was a standing large order for shares at 2.23, then 2.22. They are fleecing the retail holders when they feel max pain, and those shares are being steadily accumulated by the Bigs. There is some news coming and the bigs want in, this is typical behavior on Wall Street. The close was even or almost up a penny today, from early session lows to close they allow it to come back to parity. I am certain there is positive news ahead, and it may be what we've all been hoping for, Allen_cogsnate has mentioned his theory, so has Trollingtrolls. They are onto something. HOLD your shares or buy as much as your risk tolerance permits. This is a good company and there are so many ongoing trials, it's going to be successful.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Allen, I gave you thumbs up for your theory. Has merit. As to the poster who called you stupid, having a closed mind is a sign of ignorance and worse yet to character attack others for their honest contributions. Thanks for the insights you bring here.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Ok, getting bored here, glad it's only a fraction of my portfolio. This is total BS, there's some hedge fund playing this, same experience over at SNTA. They trade so similarly, even PPS, that owing both is like getting confused between twins. I think by this time next week we have broken out of this trading range, if you think up, as I do, chime in...this MB is almost dead, why not say what you think? Save it from total neglect and say something!

Yes Ranger, we are in three of the same names, kinda rough sledding today but not so much here. I added here today at 2.26, a relatively small position compared to IDRA. Bruce Kovner, board member, is largest insider, holding 37 million shares. See the post WOW to read more about him. Then read what Trollingtrolls has to say, he has some interesting ideas of what may be getting ready to happen. These guys have many ongoing trials, it feels further along than IDRA, in fact it is. Glad I have some more conservative bets in HZNP, OSIR, LCI--they are paying me well to be involved so far. I feel like I'm taking a lot of risk with the ones we share in, but it will either be very very good, or not... We'll see!

My levels previously posted are 18.41 next resistance, then 19.75, then 27.40. These are resistance levels that can be easily seen if you expand your chart back to August, 2013 when we had the breakout (short squeeze) to all-time highs. I see we are playing with the 18.41 level today, so likely that will be in the rear view mirror if not by close today, then by week's end. No question but the dynamics have changed around this stock, since ER and CNBC spotlight video. Going to be a great year for Osirians.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
