Trouble is, it's not a joke. This reversal today bodes ill for the future. And the future starts tomorrow. Good grief, today was a very bad sign. A rally that fizzles into 200 points down is worse than no rally at all.

No, this fund owns junk debt, not equities. Owning junk debt means they own high-risk loans. Much of this debt is owned by small, unlisted companies, so you have no idea whether the underlying companies are getting hammered or doing fine. All you know is that this fund is getting hammered.
But many did and many more will today, Black Monday. It's a junk bond fund, junior. Junk bonds don't do well in a poor economy. Look at nine or ten others and see for yourself. Not everyone is a #$%$ out to get you. You chased yield and you got burned. It's happened to most of us.
