You are correct. No one likes admitting they made a mistake, but you can sell this for $2 and invest elsewhere in some growing company, and sleep better. You will live through it,learn something and feel better, owning stock in a company with better prospects.I remember some relatives holding on to GM,until they had zero. Why do that?
Check out this new acquisition.Seems like this company will make just about anything out of steel, including fire hydrants.Just Google "DS SM A/S".Seems like Valmont is getting more diversified.Through a previous acquisition, they are also are making steel balls for grinding ore.
Everyone thinks the U.S. Dollar is the new gold and can never go down.I think that a Dollar crash(along with all other abused fiat currencies),would be the biggest surprise to all the "experts".Fiat currencies could be a lot riskier than commodities,if you value contrarian thinking.
Good post reality.I don't own this stock, but have owned stocks that went bust,so I know how the holders,of RSH,feel. It's best to just dump it and move on.You will forget about it,hopefully learn something and get rid of the mental anguish. There is nothing Radio Shack can do to save this company. The only reason,it's still around,is that it takes some time, for a large company, that's been in business,a long time,to finally fold. This one will.
The U.S. economy,is 70% dependent on consumer spending. That can and must go down. So,with Radio Shack, you have a weak retailer,in an industry, that is overcrowded and will be consolidating. Not a good place to be.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
