Still Frustrated - Got You Right Where They Want

    by bockmeister2 Nov 25, 2014 10:05 AM

I will still be here...Just very frustrated with Jack Thief and company. When he steps down as CEO, short interest is 20Mil or Less and Tutes are 70% or more this with take off. When that perfect scenario will occur I have no clue. Until then I am just tucking my shares away and not worrying about it....Nothing I can do but vote against Jack for CEO, and vote against compensation packages.

    NEW SHORT INTEREST 39,144,911

Yawn.....Post when it is down to around 20 mil....Then we have something to cheer about. It has take a year to reduce the short interest 20 million and will most likely take at least that long to take it down another 20 million. I do agree it is a step in the right direction, but unfortunately it is only a small step.

Been reading this same garbage for 18 months now. Wait for this then we rock, wait for that and then we will roll. Right now ARNA is dead money for a long time and no one knows for sure until that will change. To try and predict otherwise if foolhardy and irresponsible. We will only know after it has occurred. Stop with the stupid predictions. I am long and will hold for as long as it takes but to think that in only 3 months we will be great is ridiculous. Unless of course you have proof of a buyout or the retirement of Jack Thief.

  • jrp_gb jrp_gb Nov 25, 2014 7:39 PM Flag

I do not necessarily agree with user firejacknow but they are spot on....Why buy shares on the open market when you have an ATM printing shares at virtually no cost to them. I voted against the compensation package and will do so in the next meeting. The argument that this is the only way to keep competent management went out the window when we dropped from 13.50 to 3.26. The Arena management team is totally incompetent and nothing more than a greedy bunch of crooks who are only concerned with their own net worth. Voting for any compensation packages that reward mediocrity is foolhardy and they need to me tossed out now.

Once the Tutes start buying the price will rise

Jack is not doing anything to address these two important issues because he is a totally incompetent CEO. He needs to go NOW Nothing will change until he steps down as CEO and the company elects an individual capable of putting 2 words together in a coherent manner while instilling confidence and excitement in the listeners.....He is a total buffoon when it comes to promoting the company.

SOME of the reasons we think Arena needs a new CEO

sauve....One question for you...Are you satisfied with Jack remaining as the point person for ARNA in the future or would you like to see him take a reduced role as COB and hire a dynamic individual who can put at least two coherent words together on national television promoting arena? This is really all that it comes down to. Like I have said before, Jack is probably a brilliant individual but like many brilliant scholars and scientists, they are woefully inadequate when it comes to dealing with the press. JMO

Sauve....No debate necessary....My two reasons for wanting Jack out is that he is absolutely awful in front of the camera and does not have any charisma when addressing an audience on national TV. The other reason is that he retained a very ineffective IR staff way two long. These are enough reasons for me to have him remain as COB and hire a new individual for the CEO position. I am not questioning his intelligence, probably a brilliant individual....but as far as personality goes he is nothing more than a wet towel, a total downer and it comes through loud and clear every time he opens his mouth.

Not Collaborating with anyone....I have my shares in Etrade and keep a sell order in place 3-5 above current pps....Constantly adjusting so the shares stay frozen. Also removed margin from my account which they put on about 2 years ago so they can not be loaned....

Hi sauve....Unfortunately you are incorrect. There is a very large collection of shareholders who believe that Jack Thief must go. The use of the term "we" in the original post is quite accurate. For you to attack another poster for the single use of the word we is just childish. Add me to the list and then the term "we" is completely accurate.

Stop focusing on such ridiculous, miniscule aspects of a very valid post. I do not know who the original poster is, but their points are valid. Your post is immature and childish.

How about the fact that ICPT caters to the WS crowd and has a competent CEO who can put two words together in a coherent statement, Not like Jack who after he opens his mouth makes it seem like he should be on Aricept.......and consistently shows signs of AMS (Altered Mental Status) or dementia.

Agree with your point on sales, but with that said there are numerous companies who are wall street friendly and spend a lot of time and effort "selling" their future to WS. Ultimately I believe it will take a combination of the two....

I agree with many of your reasons......IMO the biggest reason that Jack must go is that he is totally inept when dealing with the press, wall street and the analysts. He should have hired much more qualified IR individuals immediately post FDA approval.

Since then he just stumbles abound basically speaking nonsense and has yet to exude real leadership and confidence in the company in the public forum.

He should stay on as COB and step down as CEO. I voted against him in the last election and will continue to do so.

Good Question....Many theories to be explored.....Let's ignore the price manipulation theory for now...Biggest problem I see IMO is that we really do have a very inept and unfriendly management team with the way they interact with WS. DDS was locked at 25-35pps for 20 ++ years+ due to management snubbing wall Street. After the crash in 2008 they revamped the board to include "analyst friendly" members and a competent IR staff. In less than 3 years they have gone from 3pps to over 110pps. Earnings have helped them some, but the approach to WS and the attitude of the board was completely revamped.

Sales of B are ok. Not phenomenal but not bad overall. Solid Q over Q growth.

In the end, I firmly believe that Jack is a very intelligent individual but extremely unqualified to handle WS in a manner befitting a Billion dollar company. Until we become more WS friendly, sales could triple, (like dds) and the price will stay flat. Unfortunately this is a game that must be played and not ignored. ARNA has a lot of potential, but the problem is not that wall street does not get it, ARNA just can not sell it. Especially the management team. JMO, do your own DD.

BTW, 40 k long and loaded new ammo to up the holdings to 50k in the next week or so.

BOL and thank you for an intelligent question.
