Wondering if BWLD will ever split or perhaps a dividend coming?

  • jshasky@wans.net by jshasky Jun 8, 2014 7:35 AM Flag

I take it that the dividend amount will be 1/7th of what it is now?

XLF doesn't have any flashiness to itself. It pays about an $.08 to $ 0.10 quarterly dividend. Doesn't sound like much but what I like is you have your dividend keep reinvesting in a steady climber. Want to add new money go ahead. What is really attractive is you don't seem to have to fear in much volatility compared to investing a single bank stock. Expenses .17% yearly fee & low turnover. KRE is another financial fund that may be attractive as well.

I like HTGC, all along they have been lending capital to many tech companies. I think the investing community sees more volatility lately from many of the tech companies and this trickles down into HTGC. Right now health/tech companies ( The momentum stocks are under more pressure) The DOW is up at record highs. I would hang on for the dividend which I believe is at around $0.31to $0.33 quarterly dividend. I would not add too much new money to much of any fund right now if a true 20% correction is in the cards perhaps later this year. If you have concerns direct the dividend to cash and wait later this year to buy some bargains.
