    "BEARISH" Looking Chart

hmmmm...I'd give your charts another look. Dismiss the days where the indexes fell with high volume and dismiss the earnings day where THRM had a big sell off b/c of some PR confusion about guidance. Then dismiss the day when the insider sales were made public. After this, what you have is very low trading volume since the last earnings call.

From my view, the stock is basically floating dead with no real direction. It's bumping on a large (ie wide) monthly support zone right now, which I suspect will keep it 'floating' above 35 indefinitely. If the market rallies, then I think it floats higher.

Today showed the good auto industry news doesn't help bring in buying pressure, so what we need is the company is make an announcement to give this some direction - either up or down. Hopefully up (my guess and bias) and hopefully this happens before the next earnings.

At the end of the day, the market will give this stock some direction and if you believe it is likely to the upside (like me), then I'd be looking at the long term support and buying at or near it.

resting pretty comfortably on the 200 MA with a recent history of bouncing off of it. I say it's technically a strong buy w/ little resistance above. I suspect it will 'catch up' to the auto index performance, which has been much better than THRM since mid-Oct. No reason for this divergence except for mgmt's credibility issue with the last earnings and insider selling.

too much insider selling...and the PR mess up with the last earnings does help mgmt's cred.

price action is weird, though, I agree. It seems to follow the NQ mostly. I would have guessed it would follow the auto industry (CARZ etf), but is doesn't. Today was quite the illustration of that.

Golden opp right here, IMO, for long term holders.

a director sold shares earlier this week and that became public today. not a big deal....this director has been selling consistently since $15 / share and still holds a ton of shares.

this is / was a buying opportunity int he purest sense.

    over next month or so...

solid basing right now with very solid uptrend from lows of yesterday morning.

basing to continue at these levels, then going to $42 area.

more basing and then will fill gap to $44 where lots of people got taken by surprise (a lot of orders waiting up there).

    Beyond the next month:

after gap filled at $44, heads lower to retest $42 support before heading up towards $50+

"huge buy" from pretty obvious pricing action and yesterday's call. 8%+ in 30 days.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    Why SCOK but not SYMX?

    by maranamv Oct 2, 2014 4:54 PM

again, you are wrong....proving that you are an even bigger idiot then I previously thought.

The coal-to-syngas process is better for the public's health, which is China's number one concern right now....and should be. The air quality is terrible.

Secondly, when sequestering the CO2 from this process, it can also be a positive for climate change.

I have not see a benefit for water usage yet...

Be careful about what you read...most reports out there compare China's syngas projects with conventional natural gas (non coal). This makes zero sense...China has huge coal reserves, not huge natural gas reserves. So, the comparison should be traditional coal power plants (harmful to its people & climate) to coal to syngas projects (better for its people & potentially better for climate if extra CO2 is sequestered). Water is an unknown.

it does not surprise me that you've lost money on SCOk...you should invest in things you are knowledgeable about or have a technical thesis around.

travel to China and you'll get an education on what the opportunity is. Until then, I suggest you go hug a tree and invest in solar.

    you are pretty dense.

UCG is not a syngas production process. That report is not a syngas report. The syngas process, like I said before, takes the coal product gas from UCG and makes a natural gas substitute from it (syngas). That UCG product gas to syngas process takes the CO2-rich product gas and makes it into useable syngas, a natural gas substitute. So, only the CO2 / product gas that is not used by the syngas production phase is kept underground.

do you know the difference between apples and oranges?

it says there is 'room' for 30% of the CO2 to store underground. if you make thermal energy from coal and then make syngas from the CO2, then you are not trying to store 100% of the coal's CO2 underground. Got it?? Moot point, buddy.

CO2 escaping is a totally different issue...try to stay focused. leakage rates are very controllable now-a-days and are minimum over very long periods of time.

    you're an idiot.
