    BURN IN HELL SHORTIES !

Market participants have also attributed RadioShack’s big rally to investors who had bet against the stock but then reversed those positions in droves, otherwise known as a “short squeeze.”

Short sellers borrow shares to sell them with the hope of buying them back at a lower price and pocketing the difference.

As of Friday, about 16.7% of available RadioShack shares were on loan to traders looking to short the company, according to market data firm Markit. That figure was up from a recent low of 10.5% in early July, suggesting an increasing number of investors had been betting against the stock prior to this week’s rally.

“You have a lot of shorts who were betting the company was going to go bankrupt and are now bailing out right, left and sideways,” said James Angel, a finance professor at Georgetown University.

Aug 6 (Reuters) - Devon Energy Corp on Wednesday
reported a 1 percent decrease in quarterly profit, matching Wall
Street expectations, as asset sales dented oil and gas
    production.
Devon has sold or agreed to sell $5 billion in assets
including its Canadian natural gas operations so it can drill
higher-return shale oil wells in fields in Texas and New Mexico.

The Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based company reported a
second-quarter profit of $675 million, or $1.64 per share,
compared with $683 million, or $1.68 per share in the year-ago
    period.
Excluding items related to asset sales and restructuring
costs, Devon had a profit of $1.40 per share. On that basis,
analysts on average had expected a profit of $1.40 per share.
Oil and gas production averaged 667,000 barrels oil
equivalent per day, down from 698,000 (boed) in the same quarter
a year earlier. Divested assets averaged 47,000 boed, Devon
    said.

That's old news. The 'A' shares of RSH are not allowing RSH to close underperforming stores in bad areas. RSH could be in a blighted area like Detroit and the answer is "NO!". The A shares are forcing RSH to go Bankrupt, so they can collect their money and all the common shares will be paying for it. After BK, everyone owning common shares will have nothing. RSH can regroup or dissolve after BK, but the CEO will get his golden parachute millions.

RSH could sell their stuff on Amazon or ebay. They'd be better off selling their inventory than just letting it sit in stores that don't see traffic. A-shares refuse to let them close stores that don't show profits. This company is poised for a venture capital takeover.

(NYSE: BBY) was considered a buyer
Anything is possible in the world of M&A. RadioShack’s most recent press release shows this as its footprint: “RadioShack’s retail network includes approximately 4,670 company-operated stores in the United States and Mexico, 1,490 wireless phone centers in the United States, and approximately 1,100 dealer and other outlets worldwide.”The footprint would have a value to someone at some price. The question is what the price is at.

As far as how much the buyout chances are being given as a success, let's just say that this stock would not be up 1% even on a weak day in the stock market. If a buyout was really believable this would be up 10%, 20%, or even more.
