HA HA...I picked up a few thousand ARCC when it tanked right after the announcement. I knew it would recover quickly. Still sitting on a boat-load of ACAS even though I sold over half some time ago around $12. I am not in the same company as NMB, but still hold 34K shares. I will hold into the close of this deal.

  • I think the company needs to address stockholders on the status of this immediately. This is big for the stock price of ROVI.

Your post proves your are either a fool or an idiot....which is it? In all public documentation regarding this merger proposal, it is clearly stated that the CEO and the Board of Directors approve on the merger. Why??? Because they are intimately more familiar with the opportunities this merger affords them in the marketplace, and they understand the nature of their competition and their financial situation....these are reasons they are voting in favor of this merger. You say you are a distributor? Why specifically do you think this merger will harm you?? I am confident you have zero ability to answer this question....because you are not what you claim to be. You are simply another idiot short seller who does not know how to spel.

The CEO of FSYS ....the guy who knows the industry, the competition, and the financial future of the company better than anyone because he is in the trenches...is enthusiastically voting YES, along with the majority of the board of directors. You are simply a "no-name" poster with a hidden agenda that is not "pro-Fuel Systems Solutions". As Mike Ditka once said, "opinions are like butt holes, we all have one and most of them stink". Your opinion especially stinks.

Are you saying they "almost stated" they are selling assets to prepare for a sale? What does that mean...almost stated?
I know we live in a litigious society but....
If a company that is the size and scope of ACAS receives offers for segments of its business and it sells certain segments individually at FV or above....how can anyone say (or prove) that this did not happen to occur separately (within the normal course of business) from the sale of the rest of the company?

Respectfully, I think your post is way off base.

I may be reaching a bit, but I think this purchase of TIVO will put ROVI into a strong leveraging position in regards all future licensing agreements with Comcast, Dish, AT&T and many others. If either Comcast or Dish comes to an agreement of the licensing of ROVI technology (which is still being negotiated), we will see the stock scream to $25+ in a heart-beat.
I have been buying at these levels and see nothing but positives ahead.

I'm just saying that there are factors that have played a huge role in the stock price of HQCL that have nothing to do with the company itself. Oil's demise coupled with the fact that SUNE just went Chapter 11....and so many other solar firms showing negative growth....it plays havoc with all solar companies. The old expression that a rising (or falling) tide raises or lowers all boats especially seems to apply to solars. It is unfortunate.
And in saying this, I am not absolving HQCL from the many things that may keep some investors away...chief among these being the inordinate number of oustanding shares (70%+) owned by HanWha.
As far as its performance is concerned, HQCL let many project business revenues fall into the first quarter of this year when they might have claimed them for 4th Q 2015. Just the opposite with CSIQ. They really did not have much in the pipeline for first Q 2016.
Longer term, HQCL will outperform CSIQ in my opinion.....although CSIQ is a better run company than most in the solar industry.
    Like you....just my opinion

HQCL stock price has languished with the failures of many companies within the solar world.

Since its 4Q15 earning release on March 10, 2016, to May 5, 2016, Canadian Solar’s stock price lost nearly 15-20%. The stock prices of other major solar (TAN) companies such as First Solar (FSLR), SunPower (SPWR), and Trina Solar witnessed a similar trend during the same period. SunEdison’s (SUNEQ) stock was the top loser among Canadian Solar’s peers.
Company-specific reasons caused SunEdison’s (SUNE) stock price to fall by nearly 89% during the same period.

CSIQ reports on May 11th and HQCL reports on the 19th. I own a boat-load of HQCL but plan to buy more after Canadian Solar reports. I think they could end up tanking the industry with a poor report. I still maintain that we will see HQCL being judged on its own merits at some point in the near future this year...and I still maintain that the price of this stock will surpass its last 52 week high.
    GL Longs.

ROVI to be upgraded in the near future

Still would like to see what some key analysts (JP Morgan in particular) have to say about this price plunge today. It moved well over $20/share on just last Q's earnings with the AT&T and Sony deals. I still say they will work out a licensing agreement with Dish within a month or two at the most.
Comcast also will settle IMHO within a few months. Some companies (like Comcast) think their willingness to go to court somehow increases their bargaining power on licensing. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are in clear violation of a number of ROVI patents.

IMHO, the senior executives at Evine reacted in the most logical way possible to the realization of employee "buy-in" to Bob Rosenblatt leadership and message. Without this real sense of optimism among the troops, we would not have seen key executives buying the stock on the open market. I am very encouraged by this development and highly recommend buying the stock while it stays under $2. I don't think it will be under $2 much longer. GL

Plus...definitely seeing some big buying here. Big chunk of business fell into the first Q 2016...and this year looks even better than last. Still holding all my many shares. Sorry to see Hunsaker getting stopped out again. I strongly recommend either holding strong or buying more while this equity is still under $25/share

Cliff, I agree that the revenue growth shown in the 4th quarter as well as their revenue projection for 2016 in particular was solid.. They still need to get comfortably profitable to really make the stock soar. I'm in your camp however. I think that time is finally within sight! I have waited a long time and hope to reap the benefits of my patience and investment in Bio-Key. This is a great time to buy IMHO.

A CEO will actually exude either positive or negative vibes through whatever company/organization they manage. Employees either buy-in to the CEO's message or they tune out. I believe that Bob Rosenblatt has achieved the "buy-in" of Evine employees who are now energized by the message coming from their new CEO. The "word" tends to get out about this optimism and smart investors start accumulating. I believe we are seeing the beginning of a real resurgence in the stock price here back up to the $4+ range within the next 18 months or less. The best is yet to come!!

    just_mendin,
We watched this stock drip in price down to the 40-50 cent range, and incredibly there was basically no short covering rally. Shorts appeared to be in limbo waiting for another shoe to drop (which never happened).
I knew this stock was a "tightly wound spring" waiting to snap back. When we finally saw Big Short cover with that 3 million share share block accumulated then sold, I thought we would finally see mid-sized and smaller retail shorts start to do the same. On Friday, we saw this rally begin.
Right now, the timing would be so great for the company to announce something good to keep the buying momentum going and push this stock back over $2/share. I think many institutions did not want to sell, but were forced to shed stock because of covenant price restrictions that prohibit them from owning shares of any security under $2/share.. Once over $2/share, we will see even more buying momentum ironically enough..
Good Luck......I have not sold any of my many shares recently accumulated. We still have a long ways to go with this stock price in my humble opinion.
