10.80 would be the ultimate buying opportunity. too good to be true though, so not going to happen.
if the rebound is as sharp as the drop, we could be at 24 within one or two weeks.
$4 a share? are you kidding? that's highway robbery. nobody would be happy with that price but the acquirer.
at least $8.
another good buying opportunity today. love how easy they make it for us to buy the dips.
You're never too early here; you just need patience. The chart tells the story. Use volatility as a buying opportunity. No one knows where the market will go. Maybe it will rebound tomorrow and keep rising until December. Maybe it will continue down for a week, a month. You have to either set a stop loss to get out after a certain percentage, or have a plan to average down during declines. I'm staying in XIV, and will keep buying throughout the entire correction. Don't buy more when the market looks like it s going up, buy more when you're afraid to buy.
when you're a short a stock which you don't expect to rise and unexpectedly that stock rises, don't panic, just publish an article bashing it on SA or MF.
seems to be the basic protocol these days.
Has anyone read in sequence the titles of recent treads on this message board? I hadn't really paid much attention, but then I found myself reading them, and noticed a theme. I was planning to wait for lower prices, but this has convinced me it is time to begin buying more tomorrow. Take a look for yourself and see if your contrarian indicator alarm doesn't start ringing:

doesn't work? I know you're constantly looking for new ways to bash AVEO, but now you've pushed it so far that your credibility has gone out the window.
anyway, if nothing else, appreciation of the stock price confirms many people disagree with your overall negative pov on this company and its drugs.
and what's the real news you think will hit then?
ONVO seems like it could be a very good acquisition. I was tempted to buy it straight out at one point in the past, but my rule is no OTC stocks.. though, I must admit, for better or worse (time will tell), I broke that rule when I bought FNMA!
Yes, good point. Something huge is going to happen for THRX. Just a matter of time.
yes, idix had an amazing move recently.
if I understand his trading philosophy, he would view what's happening now as a perfect opportunity to accumulate.
guess we won't know for sure until the information is made public.
I would think Seth will be buying more.
below $2 next week? nice... my buy order will be triggered then and double my number of shares
That was an excellent article. The clearest presentation of the issues that I've seen so far.
Can anyone confirm that the graphs and data presented in the article are accurate?
If the data there is accurate then the FDA's downvote on Tivo is not just a bad call, but a scandal, or even a crime.
Reminds me of why I bought AVEO though, and why I will keep adding to my position when it goes down.
Doesn't matter here what happens short term with the FDA or management. Best in class drug just isn't going to disappear or be perpetually ignored by other players. Buy out or some other catalyst will come in the future. Huge reward here for patient investors IMO.
why do you think it will go higher if the deal doesn't go through?
I'm not really worried either way. THRX has good management and is doing good things. and lots of potential positive catalysts here to send the stock flying, if not in the near future then probably when we least expect it.
eom
grow your position. take advantage of the volatility to buy the dips religiously.
What about the acquisition? Everyone was speculating about it... now silence... when do you think it will take place?
the short thesis is that he's worth billions, so that's just a drop in the bucket for him. a way to mislead investors into buying.
