Biotechs are investments that tend to move independent of the market. Dpn't look for co's like SGEN to move in tandem with the overall market.
I'm still up from when I got in a year ago but it's disappointing to see the recent decline from 34. We need some good drill results.
Is $18 US the equivalent to $19 C? Just wondering. Coastal didn't turn out quite like I hoped. Not bad but not the outcome I was thinking a year ago @ 23.
Longterm I think we all see KOG being bought out at a nice premium, At least that's where my sentiments lie.
In the mean time, where are we vulnerable? The price of oil. Below $80/B we can't make a profit. KOG couldn't keep the lights on long. Share price would tank and we'd be snatched up by one of the big boys. An oil glut would be very hard on the fracking industry, especially smaller operators that don't have cash reserves to fall back on.
Not that I want to see this happen. I like the profits I have in KOG and other oil stocks. But it's important to keep an eye out for the downside in business. Every business has potential risks/downsides, including KOG.
Environmental issues, regulations, politics would be the other area to watch out for.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Back in the summer of 2000 this stock went from a buck to 625 (yes six hundred and twenty five dollars) and back down to a buck. Just wondering if anyone knows the story. Did they find something that turned out to be a dud? Just curious.
Yes spam! We had an intraday high of 34+. This thing just keeps on climbing! Very little activity on this board. We're under the radar but for how long!
I think Trollen is looking for less speculative, more stable investments. It's not so much a reflection of SSN but just wanting less stress, etc. At least that's the way I read it. Trollen has been a great asset to this MB over the years. All the best.
