  • The company that brought China to the internet?
If you like it buy it.
If you don't then be safe and stay out of the short game on this juggernaut...

  • People have been patenting in software, behaviors that are widely known outside of software, for ever.

The patent was granted because it was novel. Not for humans, but for software. The judges arguments I emphatically disagree with and has implications for the entire software industry.

So for example: did the guy who sued Amazon based on his auctioning patent, a first ever in software, not take that idea from people holding Auctions? He didn't invent auctions he invented the process and structure to encapsulate the concept in software.

Good luck to my VRNG brethren...

I would not sell out just yet.

The Chinese government told Jack Ma to go pound salt for years, during the early days. He built this company with a dedicated team of folks who believed in his vision. After a measure of success, no doubt all parties come around and want to exert their influence. But this was a while in the making. They had ambitions of going public in 2001, and had to brave several brushes with bankruptcy on their way to going public 13 years later. His influence and mentors are in Silicon Valley. The Chinese government is late to the party. This company, is the new real thing, and it's focus is the world and not just China.

I'm in for the unfolding on a new media new eCommerce phenomenon.

  • This is a likely case of money under the table trying to impact the basic state of software patents...lots of ugly precedent potential here.

VRNG looks like a reasonable bet based on its portfolio of patent and not just the one.

  • WLDN in PLUG valuation terms would be worth $3.2Billion! or a PPS of $438 bucks, from its current $9.18.

    Which has farther to run?

Nice pullback - next installment opportunity

Sometimes size does matter. Their much larger competitors, at least according to yahoo (JEC, TTEK), have stagnant growth, and valuations depressed. When your revenue exceeds your market cap, that's not saying alot. WLDN has been valued similar, but has substantially higher growth rates top and bottom line. So I think it will enjoy PE expansion as the topline expands. The other key differential is a Float of 5.95M, and an under owned by institutions of only %13 percent, which suggests continued strong institutional interest due to under ownership. Competitors tend to be over owned. As long as they tread lightly in the dilution area, the stock should perform and reach its own assessment of fair value.

This is one, imo, like "water" it seeks its own level, and I don't plan to try and time the exit, given the fundamentals I perceive.

A quater of CREG is financed by the CEO now

    by maosteve95 Sep 4, 2014 5:02 PM

CEO paying himself for new shares not bought on the open market is similar financial engineering as what was done to generate revenue in the last quarter. At the end of the day, retail investors need to own more of an expanded float that ultimately benefits individuals and not the company or its shareholders.

Sky MOBI as an example today announced it was buying back shares paid to somebody, and the stock jumped on the news. Like if CREG bought Carlyle's bundle that it could not unload. CREG up! But as a company you would have to have cash to do that. Which seems to be the problem. The only currency they have or are willing to burn is "fresh equity from newly minted shares".

Too many times to that well.

  • Of course DD is due diligence.
I too often have started out with long term investor intentions, that get reduced to swing trader on technicals, and sometimes degrading to pure day trading on momentum of daily cycles.

But I don't trade anything I don't feel I could hold because of fundamentals. If the story is strong, it supports my ability to buy more during pullbacks.

For any of you lucky folks who caught a double if you did so for a trade, then cash out and move on. But if you once admired greats like Peter Lynch, or secretly aspire to invest like Warren Buffet, than WLDN is a top candidate.

Years of experience that exceeds their short time public. A management team that was thrown into the economic desert, went off the grid and transformed the company by self examination, self correction, and correct examination of trends in the industry. IPO at $10, several year decline at it worst point to $1,20, then a performance driven comeback with new companies, changed model, heading into markets which should see continued traction. All this and winning all of Con Ed business from Lockheed Martin, I say earns them investment grade. Their modest %15 percent growth targets (their words modest), will have its butt systemically kicked going forward.

They have the cash to acquire and the expertise and the pipeline to repeat past performance in my opinion.
All this on a tiny outstanding share total of 7.5M shares.

I'm not day trading or swing trading this one. I would encourage folks to take some time to do research, or come back every $5 dollars and swing trade/retail short to support my long term advance,

  • It would be a mistake to trade based on thinking he was buying your shares.
He bought all 13+ Million shares on the 15th of this month, from the company. Meaning newly minted.

Like a capital infusion to the company, with the ultimate funds coming from you when he sells you his shares.

A lot can be learned by the strength of the pullback.

just a lot of programs taking advantage of retail shares to short due to a larger non-institution taking positions.

There will be a price to pay in finding those shares...

  • They are a legit business, and they clearly came to the US markets for funding, but they clearly don't give a sh.t about the US shareholder.

This continuous stream of purchases of assets with shareholder funds could have been viewed as positive and savvy, but with this latest release I have no choice but to agree with the "scam" statements made by the bears.

You buy from a seller a what ever for a fix amount in shares. 18 million bucks, regardless of the price of the stock. Then you lease the equipment back to the seller for a monthly amount, then at the end of the term you give the machine back to the seller?

That is the us shareholder being #$%$'ed by both buyer CREG and seller, who ever.

Not only is there no legit market left for these securities, the company seemingly intends to pillage and rape who ever strays into long positions on this stock, until the last nickel is extracted..

Wow. Love those after the bell SEC filings before 3 day weekend holidays...
    jw
p.s. this is not worth a swing trade as you can't sell the same way you can buy. They will make as many shares as you like on the ASK, but selling them doesn't happen quite as graceful.

I don't even think the DTCC requires naked supply to be covered for these foreign pieces of paper that suck down your hard earned dollars. I'm out of this for good at this point. The system is broke.
