Is severely overpriced? ---Or--- was severely overpriced?

Timing makes all the difference for me.

And when the future looks brighter than the past, what then? If a management self critique suggests more focus going forward, is hindsight "twenty twenty" or are we not seeing the forest for the trees?

At current price $31.25, with current fundamentals, here below the lowest bollinger band...is it a BUY or a SELL?

    I just bought today.

Not that naive. They are doing great and want to do better, sure. They have an interesting plan that was shared in an interview on Bloomberg. Some large player(s) want a strategic position below the IPO first day price.

92 Million shares, I think they got it.

  • Yesterday blew out lots of fast money in the day after compression...The next resistance level is a long ways off. Shorts, throwing good money after bad, fighting against the fundamentals, will not serve.

No shame in closing out and moving on to greener pastures.

    yeah, right...lol
The fact that JDST and JNUG both have upticks in short positions, suggests maybe the "decay" retail club, thinks you can make money shorting both on decay alone...They continue to confuse real decay with mathematics and further fail to factor the actual fundamentals of GOLD, and the miners.

Today's little piece of sell side press suggesting its the pros, who took a short position in JNUG at $10, versus at $300...well according to Warren Buffet, you need to buy LOW and sell High...or translated for shorts: sell HIGH and buy LOW...

Me thinks these "pros", likely mostly dumb algorithms, or retail folks, got the uptick in shorts at the wrong end of the spectrum...

As I said before to my retail brethren: Cover now and cover often...
The real buyers of physical metal, are the same sellers of paper gold, and they are nearing the reversal point.

When goldman sachs says sell something to retail press readers, be assured that they are the buyers. JP Morgan now accumulating great quantities of physical after they so called jettisoned their commodities business is an interesting development. Sovereigns building their gold physical stocks, all cooperating so China can catch up to the other big SDR currency swap players, suggests Gold is very important to the elite, as they flood the media with messages to you that it's not important to the everyman. Why is that?

So short more at the bottom if you want...or learn to swim with the sharks...

This "other factors" post is evidenced today. GDXJ up %5. JNUG up 3X plus %2 short squeeze premium. Supply/demand pressures will skew in both directions.

So there are other factors that influence price action. Things like too many knuckle heads trying to short JUNG, then rushing to cover their bets making it say like today, not go down as much as it could have. So it's not an exact science. It is all things being equal and approximate base for the 3X factor. NUGT is the same way, it can vary from its 3X base on GDX. Then there are times when the market maker(s) just take it on a walk in a direction or HFTs take it to a place. Not exact science. That also impacts the compounding. Decay is when you have a circumstances that artificially degrade the price not related to the mathematics. But each his own.

So what you are observing is the effects of daily compounding of a 3X product when the trend has been damn near all down...That is still not decay that is mathematics. What you fail to realize is that when the actual "trend" reverses, the 3X will have a reciprocal supersize effect to the upside. Call it reverse decay from yall's perspective. So if you are a day trader, trying to play the swings, well good luck and you guys are right, given the trend, the long side would be treacherous.

So the real question is at current levels of "gold", over a longer horizon, are we closer to the bottom than we are to the top? I believe we are closer to the bottom. I have about 5 years of unwinding behind that estimate. If you factor in the paper versus physical dislocation, you have more evidence that the dam can only hold so much water, before it breaks. So a strategic investment in JNUG here, at the bottomish, will have the supersize compound effect going forward. If you are short from hundreds of dollars years ago, today's percentages are noise to you. Likewise if you take a long position here, and gold, which is being positioned to back new currencies, adjusts appropriate to the bloated world wide money supply, then at some point daily moves of JNUG in the $10's of dollar range, will be noise to that portfolio as well. The law of big number comes into play over time, given the trend.

So an investment here, providing you don't leverage is a pretty good long term bet, with a hold into the new currency world of tomorrow.

    With me?

Both of you are wrong. Any stock that goes down a percent needs to rise a higher percent to get back to where it was. has nothing to do with decay. And oh by the way this can rise any where mathematically from simple compounding. All it needs is the right percentages in the same proximity timewise. Decay is like the vix that adjusts based on a futures formula and resets monthly. Contango and backwardation. This thing is pure mathematics, no decay.
