Looking at the updated corporate presentation, by 2015 it looks like MWs will be added via M&A... and looks like approximately 50MW of power will be added.... the ONLY undervalued assets that are even up and running, and would be available for sale in and around 50MW are RAMs entire geothermal portfolio...

RAM is looking to either sell itself, or sell assets. Tomorrow morning I'm buying some RAM. lol....

It says that after the contracts have been awarded, the CNEE (I'm assuming the power regulatory body) has to approve them within 5 days. That would be COB today. If I recall correctly, the last PPA update on Guatemala was around a Memorandum of Understanding with the government for 25MWs up to 50MWs.

If HTM has final approval we should be looking at a PPA of 25MWs for $109.38. Equal to $23.8M of new annual revenue when the plant is built & online.

We should have a Guatemala update next week based on this article:

The power purchase auction attracted 92 companies, of which 65 submitted technical and financial bids, for a total of 103 projects.

Guatemala, August 27, 2014. After six and a half hours of submission of tenders on 16 successive auction rounds, Tender PEG-3-2013 got the lowest prices reported to date in the recruitment of 250 megawatts (MW) of energy generation.

    August 27, 2014 - NOTICE PEG-3

Broadcast Tuesday afternoon Dimas Carranza, Director Regulatory Energuate announced the result of the energy auction: "The purchase of energy in the Tender PEG-3-2013 reached Q759.43 real price of a megawatt" explained. The average price achieved was Q849.88 (US $ 109.38).

In the PEG-1 process, a contract was awarded to MW Q912.97 (about US $ 117.50), while the PEG-2 the amount was Q876.45 (about US $ 112.80).

"The goal was to lower prices and managed," said Erick Archila Engineer, Minister of Energy and Mines portfolio.

The price achieved exceeded the minimum bid presented by the National Energy Commission (CNEE), an amount that was not necessary to establish because the bids were lower.

"We reached the lowest prices in the country's history in the purchase of energy and this shows that the market is attractive to investors and to change the mechanism brought great benefit to the population," the supreme authority of the MEM.

During the process, more than fifty power generating companies submitted their financial bids from their desks put up for auction, but it took 16 years to reach the tender best rate per megawatt.

I've recently bought into Pengrowth, but on the TSX board - PGF. There are a couple ways to make some cash on this stock, all of which no one can say is the 'best' way.

    1. Investing! This is for those who do not have enough time throughout the day to care about pennies.
    2. Trading! This is for those who have a large amount of time throughout the day to make a couple bucks here and there when the price goes up, and down!

In my opinion, and what I perceive will work for me is buying on dips and holding for a few years until I believe the stock has reached its maximum potential - or maybe hold forever, who knows.

In someone else's opinion, and what may work for them is shorting the stock, or selling at a loss to pick up those same shares at a lesser price.

I say, good for you if you have REALIZED profit on this stock by trading it, and good for you if you have built up a large basket of shares as an investment.

Unfortunately I feel for those who sell at any kind of a loss for any reason. I find most sell at a loss because they 'need' the money; you shouldn't be investing this money if you 'need' it.

My sentiment is strong buy because from all the DD I've done I believe there is high potential for significant increased earnings. Someone may have a differing opinion; and good for you!

    Good luck to all.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
