  • I'm curious if the big tobacco companies have ever thought about subsidizing their normal business practices (i.e., selling cigarettes) with more virtuous activities. (i.e., curing diseases) At first glance it doesn't seem like a good business strategy to invest so many resources into a completely new and extremely divergent business plan. However, if you were able to utilize much of your already available resources (millions of acres of tobacco plants) at an effective zero cost delta to produce new or even old vaccines with a high production rate, it then seems like a pretty good business model.

Tobacco makes cigarettes, cigarets cause cancer, cancer cures are synthesized from tobacco leaves. (as well as many other diseases)

It seems to me a company like IBIO should have thought this through. Forget partnering with big pharma. Big tobacco is, and always has been, the ticket to prosperity.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
