How many of us Old Longs are still here and still holding?
Last year, durung the summer, I got into trouble with a Mrgin call duting the time Europe was in such trouble and the USA rating was downgraded . TD sold 6000 of my KOG shares at that time to satisfy the call .... One day later things began to turn around and I would not have had to sell any of my KOG shares.. So, that one friggin day cost me 6K shares.. Soon after that Brigham was bought so i made up some of KOG loss.
The good news is I still have my remaining 88K shares that I purchased just before and just after KOGs bottom in Feb of 2008.. the last shares I bought was in April of 2008.. This week I surpassed 1m profit on my KOG investment. I hold it in two accounts. In my IRA i have 11900 shares at an avg. price of .4501 - a $5300 investment up 2,746%.. The rest is in another account. That account is marginable with a very very scary amount of day trading power!!
My plan is, and always has been, to hold onto KOG until someone buys it.. . Honestly, i thought a buyout might happen by now and at a lower price than its at now. Glad I was wrong? Things looked shakey for a while. THe last period of going sideways lasted a little longer than other sideways periods. But if you look at the 5 year chart, the parttern since 2008 is pretty symetrical.
Im not saying this to brag - but I am very happy to have met my first milestone this week. I'm saying this
because I have always believed in KOGs management and their mission. I've had faith that, if the cards played out right, the goal of their mission would be realized. I believe we are now at a point where KOG is finally being seen in a very serious way by many who, until now had doubts that KOGs management could bring their company to this point. These last months have been a very very critical time for our beloved BEAR.
Someone posted here a 2014 EOY target of $15. I agree with another poster who said $15 is likely very conservative. time will tell! GLTA!
