Played all sports in HS, then basketball in college, High Point University, NC, 1954-58, another small school. Mostly sitting on the bench in college, but loved the game and just couldn't give it up. I even loved practice. I'm stubborn I guess, that's why I'm sticking with TSLA.
Never got back to you, my bad. Yep, I played linebacker on D, and tight end, single wing O, so you know how old I am. Small school, had to play 60 minutes. Caught an occasional pass. Nothing compared to today's players. Still love the concept of TSLA, maybe wrong, but don't still don't think so. Long time investor, sometimes right, many time wrong, but TSLA has a big promise for my small position. Willing to take the opportunity for whatever it brings. Regards to you.
ballcoach, you're right about one thing, I should not have made the concussion reference, I apologize. I was probably thinking about my own three concussions while playing hs football. It seems that for anyone long or short tsla, it's made us all a little bit crazy.
I've never started a company either, and never "operated" one. But, I do admire anyone like Musk or thousands of other successful business people, and just get a little ticked off at people who seem to constantly take personal shots at someone who is trying to develop new technology which has the possibility of improving our lives. Nothing more than that.
Lots of jealous people here today. For all of you who can't stand Musk, please tell us what successful companies you have started and in doing so was able to hire thousands of people in the process. If you have, good for you. Let us know the name of the company so it can be verified.
to get out the hearing protectors, (muffs) only if you are freezing. It's wise to not listen to the comments made by the desperate shorts. Tesla is a disruptive company, similar to AMZN. They will eventually change the auto industry world wide. I made the mistake of getting out of AMZN after a decent profit, my mistake. I would not predict the same thing happening with TSLA but I see it as an above average opportunity. For day traders, forget it, go to some other stock so you can sleep at night. For long time investors, I believe you will be rewarded. My opinion of course.
You could be talking about Amazon, also with no stinking earnings, but their share price is going to the moon.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
ballcoach is probably a retired football coach suffering from several concussions from his playing days, back when they used leather helmets.
Trudy, even though I don't buy in to everything you say, I'm beginning to like you a little bit and I appreciate your thoughts. People who buy LNCO are not into irrational exuberance, that's reserved for TSLA, PCLN, AMZN, NFLX, AAPL, and similar stocks. People who buy LINN/LNCO do so for the dividends and if circumstances require them to reduce their payout, personally I would still be happy with anything above 6% plus their, I believe, positive long term outlook.
Trudy, you sound like a short to me, nothing wrong with that. Oil and gas is cooking in the USA and if the merger does not go through I agree that we will see a further drop, but long term outlook for us longs is alive and well. Dividends, oil and gas, will be a long time winner.
