That's great you are going to the meeting marky. Can't wait to hear the update ! Fingers crossed !
Happy Thanksgiving :)
I also would like to send a special thanks to all the selfless and honorable folks who defend us and keep us safe everyday . It is all of you who allow us to live our lives everyday with confidence knowing goodness will prevail.
Very nice Amano and once again confirms to me why I always read your posts. You are a good person who's honesty and integrity shine through. I wish you the best Amano.... Happy Thanksgiving !
Sounds good. Let's hope they do reveal new info as this would be the perfect venue. Fingers crossed !!!!
Happy Thanksgiving All,
No way fact man is envy. Factman is a good person with integrity . Envy .....not at all on either accounts.
Pretty funny. I think time shows how kooky he gets sometimes.
Not all the time ....... But sometimes very smart people just have to be right at any expense. Oh well :)
Rock and marky.......
I went round and round and round with envy a couple of years ago about his way of trying to make up his own message board rules regarding " not jumping on his thread". He is so full of it and that is just one of his bizarre interpretations of how
the yahoo message board works. He is really worse than I have ever seen him and very lost right now .
Go away tuck. If you need to put Mike on ignore go right ahead but it's you that this board can do without , not Miker. He is and always has been the most important poster here without question.
Wow that is so great ! His quality of life is greatly improved by this level of acheivement. Just getting up and around getting the juices flowing is fabulous for everyone's health and mental outlook and for a young strong guy what a difference it makes. Soooo happy for him :)
I have scoliosis and had surgery in '92 ( 10 fused vertebrae with lots of hardware) because it started progressing at a very fast rate and would have caused me a lot of trouble in the future if I had not . I am not familiar with your type of surgery but I can tell you that in my case one doctor wanted to harvest bone from my pelvis to use and the surgeon I ended up choosing used bone taken from my ribs. I often hear about bone being harvested from the pelvis because it is very dense with bone. I'm sure many things have changed since my experience but it helps to get a couple opinions..... I got 4. I went to UCSF and my surgeon was Dr. David Bradford . He was chief of the department then but I'm not sure what his position is now . He is still around though because the doctor I saw here recently in So Cal said he makes a point of seeking Bradford out every year at one of the big conventions. You know what someone suggested to me and was helpful was to join an association for scoliosis patients for support. Often folks get anxious before this type of huge milestone in our lives like major surgery and it was helpful to talk to others who had the same surgery . It was good to hear their helpful hints for recovery and there likely is a list of patients or your doc could give you or perhaps an association like I had. Often people get nervous before......totally normal, but if you have gotten a couple of opinions and feel you've met the right surgeon a positive approach is always best. I would give myself a time limit for worrying like , 10 minutes a day( and indulge myself) because it's normal but we can't just keep thinking about it all day or you will be mentally exhausted and stuck in the same old nonproductive thoughts. As I remember, I did a lot of Creative Visualization before the approaching surgery date and my recovery went really well.
I'm sure I will think of other things and will give you a shout out if I do.
Sending you good thoughts,
Glad you had a great day. We had a great Springer Spaniel hunting dog growing up and my brother who lives in Colorado had a German Wirehair Pointer. Love to watch them work :)
Curious rock....... When you bought were you thinking you would hold long term as in 3-5 years or were you thinking in terms of dollar amounts
like you would sell at 80 ? Maybe something else ?
Fwiw, when I came upon NVIV in March '12 I definitely felt Invivo had a great chance of success in regard to the science. Proving to greatly help advance the chance for improvement for SCI patients is what I believed would be the outcome. I never thought the patients were just going to get up and walk right away. I knew that it would take 3-5 years to play out . I knew never to invest more than I could lose . I knew it could have crazy ups and downs. I knew it was hard to fathom how much the price share
might be someday. I knew there were many variables I could not for see
but I thought it was worth the risk and I still do. Soooo it's been 3 1/2 years and I believe within the next year and a half we will definitely have
a lot of answers ( solid answers ) as to whether the scaffold works or not. I'm also betting in hindsight we shall see that management has done a pretty good job. Call me simple ..........but( even though I certainly don't have any extra funds to waste) I accept that I am responsible for my investment outcome and if I ever was as anxious as you ( and others) seem to be I would never invest in Biotech.
I wish you luck and hope you aren't really living with as much anxiety as you portray........ that would really shorten your lifespan and you may not live long enough to reap your profits.
Betters days ahead IMO!
