YEAH.... LOL... and than we can have our depression.....!!!!

Yup.... the EU followed the repubs plan of austerity-- a few years ago.... while the US pulled way ahead of them.... and now their back at the table copying the Obama/Fed Reserve tactics to pull them out of the rut....

Hey.... conservatives .... How`s Kansas working out as your `conservative test case` for how to run a state ??? LOL....

Every President since FDR --which includes Repubs and Dems--- have tried to keep troops out of Mideast wars except for Bush Jr and his VP... Darth Vader....

Those 2 opened Pandora`s Box in the Mideast.... and it`s never going to be the same again...

Massive global consequences from functioning through fantasy land glasses... of democracy popping up like flowers -- in a land with 1,400 yr history of religious civil war...

Wouldn`t surprise me if the Chinese eventually become a dominate buyer of alot of that oil....as these regimes turn over....

Looks like the cat`s finally out of the bag.... as far as trying to keep this topic down....

Just came back from a week in England and this topic is all over the news -- indepth.... don`t know about other countries media covering it but the Brits are pretty wrapped up in it...

Last I read Cheney told Chuck Todd on Meet the Press this weekend that everything was approved by the Justice Department.... Looks like he`s going to hold those attorneys up as his shield in this fight and throw them to the wolves...

Considering all the TV appearances that Cheney has made over the last few years talking about Obama`s mideast policy... I`m guessing that Obama is sitting in the WH laughing hisAss off at this turn of events ...when no one is looking....

I thought the man on the white horse was the Republican Congressman who put into the spending Bill last week that they can gut the reforms that were put in place to try and stop the big banks from repeating the same fraudulant acts that they did in 2008 that nearly crashed the economy and turned a Republican President into a socialist....

Tells me that you`re a little bit crazy.....

  • If you want to understand how gloriously screw ed up the the Repubs are and especially the Tea Party fanatics..... Just look at the once great state of Kansas... under Gov Sam Brownback... the darling of the far right... of Jim DeMint and Grover Norquest style of governance...

Brownback took over the state and instituted large tax cuts -- massive tax cuts under the old conservative belief of tax cuts stimulate jobs... However Kansas has instead seen the reverse--- large scale deficits as the lost in revenue has not seen the wished for rise in tax receipts, while it`s fellow surrounding states are doing well...

So how does Brownback propose to fix this deficit he has created -- by announcing today a plan to take money out of the Pension Funds in the state and fill in the gaps... The old 3 card monte game of slight of hand politics of stealing from Paul to pay Peter... --- The same move that every state in the country that currently has pension problems has done in the past to dig themselves even deeper in debt and hurt their citizens...

From International Business Times: 12/ 15/14

`...In 2012, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback signed a landmark bill that delivered big tax cuts to high income earners and businesses. Less than two years after that tax cut, the state's income tax revenues plummeted by a quarter-billion dollars -- and now Brownback is pushing to use money for public employees’ pensions to instead cover the state's ensuing budget shortfalls.

Brownback's proposal: Slash the state’s required pension contribution by $40 million to balance the state budget. But Kansas already has one of the worst-funded pension systems in the nation. The state was also recently sanctioned by the Securities and Exchange Commission for not accurately disclosing the shortfalls...`

    ---------------------

Naturally moves like this only get announced AFTER an election....

Good luck Kansas --- my guess is your going to see move people moving out of the state ...

Warren just exposed the bald faced lies of every politician -- either Democrat or Republican-- that told the American people that they were out to protect Americans against `socialism`, `crony capitalism`, `big gov bailouts`, etc, etc.... And instead -- passed this spending bill without speaking out against this timebomb that AGAIN... jepordizes this country`s economy and the economic safety of all American families....

After the most devastating financial collapse since 1929 caused by massive greed on Wall St and the big banks (just look at the size of the multi-billions $$$ settlements the big banks are now paying ) --- a financial crash that helped kick start the Tea Party .. and had politicians across this land beating their chests telling us that they were there for US... and they would Protect us ... from every letting that happen again ... Instead they took our confidence in what they were saying and laughed all the way into office and gladly took the money from those very same companies to their bank... and secretly gave everyone who backs them the middle finger as to how they think of US....

What Congressman said this last week --- Which member of the Tea Party ????

`.."To Republican leaders in the House, I would ask this: You say you're against bailouts on Wall Street. I've heard you say it again and again for five years. So why in the world are you spending your time and your energy fighting for a provision written by Citigroup lobbyists that would increase the chance of future bailouts.

Why in the last minute as you head out the door and a spending bill must be passed are you making it a priority to do Wall Street's bidding.

Who do you work for—Wall Street or the American people?"...

    ----------------------

Could it be Ted Cruz-TX, Rand Paul, Louie Gohmert- Tx, Lamar Smith- TX, Mike Sessions-TX, MicheleBachmann- MN, Paul Braun of Georgia, Phil Gingry- Georgia, Mike Pence - Indiana, Steve King - Iowa, David Vitter- Louisiana, Joe Wilson- SC, ????

They`re all Congress people that have told us over and over how they are for the American citizens, -- the people of Main Street vs big government.... How they hate bail outs of any kind... They all ran against Obama for supporting that... In fact it was the basis for the start of the Tea Party in America at the time...

So who had the balls to tell the leadership that they were liars and were selling out Main Street for the big money guys at the banks and Wall Street --- putting American citizens on the line AGAIN to bail out the bankers again when they start doing the same things in the future that crashed us in 2008.... Who had the balls to say that ??? Who really had Main Street`s back ??? ...

The above was the speech that Sen Elizabeth Warren - D, Mass, gave last week telling Americans and her own people that the spending bill had hidden agenda`s in it to screw over Americans again... via the bankers.... putting the Federal Government again as the back stop for the risk taking that the banks want to do with your money..

Unemployment in 5%s.... better than when Bush blew up the economy...

And you can talk about jobs not being the high payers that we had back in the 1990`s.... but than again -- what type of jobs do you think the BushCheney team created ??? 1/3rd of the jobs between 2000 and 2007 were based off the intrest rates -- construction, finance, etc.... nothing substantial except what the defense industry was producing....

    gasoline-99...

I`ve got a bridge you need to buy....
And obviously you`re the man to buy it.. hook line and sinker...

  • Think about it... ISIS is the worst thing that could happen to the Royal Family.... they don`t have the man power to fight them themselves but they do have the US to fight their wars... But we just spent 10 yrs and nearly busted our economy... So how do the Saudis get us to fight ISIS.. By promising to give us lower oil prices for a few years as down payment....

In the interim -- they also get to do themselves a favor and slow down the shale oil industries.... and undermine all the new tech coming out for cars to get higher mpg... hydrogen, hybrids, electric, etc...

Win Win for the Saudis and for Obama admin as the economy gets a major tax break up for the next couple years.... and the oil patch wasn`t his friend anyway... was it... So he`s probably more than willing to let them have a little hurt for a time...

Meanwhile the rest of the country -- especially the middle and lower class gets to have a little party on cheap oil ....

    About time....

  • `...Here's what we found out this week.

This one is particularly salient for a Supreme Court considering stripping subsidies away from millions of people: the uninsured rate dropped more than 30 percent from September 2013 to September 2014. The Urban Institute has been releasing quarterly data since the implementation of the law, and has found that the uninsured rate for adults under age 64 has been significantly lowered, across genders and races and age groups. But not economic groups—the working poor and the middle class saw the largest drops because of the combination of Medicaid expansion and federal tax credits, or subsidies, for the middle class. In other words, the law is doing exactly what it was intended to do. At least in the Medicaid expansion states.

Thanks in part to some of the Medicare provider reforms and incentives in the law, healthcare spending in the U.S. grew slower in 2013 than it had in 53 years. Half a century. Lowest healthcare spending growth. It's worth repeating that the shrinking of Medicare spending has already cut the deficit more than any of the austerity-minded plans that anyone has come up with—Simpson/Bowles, or Paul Ryan, or anyone else....``

--- To date 28 states have expanded Medicare, 23 states have not- most of those in the SE and S, and midwest.....
