Apparently so. Please tell them to double the dividend and then relax and have a good weekend.

To all good people on this board thank a vet on Monday and remember the fallen.

I believe that after the reverse split and the spinoff after all the dust settles you will end up with one share of NRF and one share of NSAM for every current share you have of NRF.

I agree with the cooch. However, I also could care less. If the current distribution barely goes up over the next few YEARS, just enough to keep up with inflation, then it would still be a very lucrative investment, especially for those of us who bought shares at well below current price. Even at today's price ( around $30) it id close to a 10% return. hard to get that kind of return on a RELATIVELY safe investment. Nothing is 100% safe, not even treasuries and look at their pathetic yield. Sure, a distribution raise would be lovely, a share price in the mid 30s wouldn't hurt either but even if things stay just the way they are I'm a very happy unit holder. GLL

Another 20 cents, a yield of well over 10% and no share price movement. I guess the current high yield is fully "baked in" the current share price and we should all pretty much forget about any significant increase until we see an increase in the dividend. At this point I can easily live with a steady 80 cents/yr for a very long time. Beats the hell out of the 5% or 6% I'm getting with junk bonds and not, IMHO a whole lot riskier. Yeah, yeah, I know if the dividend is cut y'all are gonna bail, but in the meantime where else you gonna put your money for this kind of return? I'm wide open to suggestions.. GLL

Friday 6/20. $.20 Hardly a brilliant prediction considering the past dates. Slow but steady wins the race. GLL

Lots of ifs. My big if is that if the dividend remains the same I will be happy. if it rises I will be happier. If it rises AND the share price rises I will be happiest. OTOH if the dividend is cut I will be sad and gone. I think most likely scenario is the first one. GLL

Almost every one of my stocks is down today except WIN which instead is now at a one year ( actually more like 20 months or so) high. I suspect we end up closing below 10.47 but it is nice to see a little green on my list. Have a good weekend y'all and GLL

"Nothing but a dividend play." I can live with that as long as there are no further cuts in the dividend. I assume you anticipate such cuts or else why complain. I guess we'll know in another few quarters. GLL

Don't be silly. It is good to have positive and negative views if they are accompanied by facts or reasoning. If you get "scared" by a single post or two you don't really belong in a high yield high risk stock like WIN. I'm willing to take my chances in return for the 10% plus dividend yield bu I don't have my head buried in the sand thinking all is well no clouds on the horizon. ktumle made good points and they are worth heeding. June 26th Ex-dividend date for WIN

    jack,
Close at $9.82 is essentially no change from yesterday once the $.25 div is factored in. If the next earnings report is half way decent then I can see going back up well over $10.00 by end of next quarter. Everything depends on having the cash available to maintain that delightful $.25 for another bunch of quarters. GLL

I suspect a lot of folks are selling today because they believe that post ex div there will be a big sell-off and they want to beat the other sellers out of the door. Could happen, however missing a $.25 dividend in hopes of saving $.25-.50 in share price seems like a rather questionable bet IMHO. Oh well, that's why there are markets. GLL

I agree, cooch. Right now those of us holders are riding the tiger. How and when to get off is tricky. However as long as the economy maintains it's current apparently upward trajectory I intend to enjoy the ride and spend the dividends. GLL

Let's all face it, we should have sold when it was over 13 and then waited a few days for the dust to settle. However those of us who didn't are still doing OK. I would have been happy on an ordinary day if it close at 10.60 or above which it certainly seems it will do. Hard to be quick enough on a weird bit of news like this. Oh well. GLL

It only has to multiply by 2 in 12 months to make most of us ecstatic. How many other relatively safe bets you know of that could yield a 100% return in 12 months? BTW, I do not really expect it to double, I'm just hoping for a 10-20 % price rise and a decent dividend. GLL

They've somehow managed to pay $.25 for 7 years and a steady but slightly irregular dividend for several years before that. Never missed a dividend once. Maybe they are printing it in the basement and the SEC hasn't noticed.. How do they manage it? You tell me. If I were you I would definitely not hold this stock in your portfolio it is way too risky for you. GLL

I guess one could look at it like a bond. You don't expect the price to go up much and you just sit back and collect the dividend. Of course in your case having bought at 10 that must hurt a little bit, OTOH you've sure done well with the divvies. My first batch of 2300 was at $3.30 on 5/4/09 and have been accumulating in the $4.63- $6.21 range since. Now have about 10K shares and all in tax free or deferred accounts so the steady dividends just accumulate and accumulate. sure, I'd love to see $7 or more but as long as the dividends don't get cut, even if they never go up, I'm quite content. Of course that is a big "as long as ". time will tell.

  • Dec 2006 dividend of $.25 and there have been 30 more consecutive dividend through thick and thin since. I know that past performance doesn't guarantee future performance but it certainly does show this company's commitment to a steady dividend. The list of companies with that consistent long term dividend history is very short indeed. GLL
