Whoa Chino, my car is barely worth $300(rusty 1983 Toyota Corolla Stn Wgn) and I don't have any answers these days other than "Yes thanks I'd love another drink!" GLL

Flight to distribution / dividend paying stocks

Oil price may be down and will likely stay down but price per unit sent through pipes doesn't go down and as price of oil and gas goes down the demand goes up thus more product goes through the pipeline and the toll increases. Thus stable dividend. In theory. GLL

The price is low because the price of oil is uncertain and people do not trust the dividend to remain where it is much less to go back up. Sure the day to day fluctuations of the broader market, the jobs report, Greece, China, Iran etc all cause day to day fluctuations in the market and have some effect but until we see oil back up at 60-70 instead of hovering around 60, AND the dividend has been paid for 6 more months, AND, the CAD plus earnings look supportive for the long term stability of the company and the dividend we won't see much of a share price rise IMHO.Lord knows I have ton (for me) of shares and am long but I am also realistic and recognize that this is a moderately risky stock and besides I am waaaay underwater on my shares. However the 10 or 11 K in dividends I get yearly allows me to just sit tight and hope for the best long term. GLL

Brace yourselves. Asian markets are way down, Euro dropping and I suspect European markets will drop and I would not be surprised if it all spills over to the US equities market. i would not be surprised if we bounce off 16.00 tomorrow. Nothing to be done, just be patient. GLL

Why does that not give me any joy? Oh well at least we have the steadily declining dividend, and BTW I do not consider 2 consecutive $.16 dividends a stable dividend. Slim hope for good news next earnings but not totally impossible. GLL

While I am delighted that the dividend was not cut this quarter I share some of the other posters concerns about the future. The re characterization of the entire 2014 dividend payment to return of capital raises big red flags about the companies accounting practices. It implies to me that they had insufficient CAD to pay the dividend from. What if they now change the recent and previous dividend to return of capital? How accurate or honest was the last earnings statement that did indeed, as Lunco has pointed out, show more than adequate CAD to cover current payout. For all these reasons lots and lots of folks don't have high confidence in the security of future dividends. That is why the yield is so astronomical. I'm holding my breath and my shares and have my fingers crossed but none of us should delude ourselves into thinking that this is not a very risky stock, that would be burying one's head in the sand. I assume you are actually just a troll, but if you are not then remember that through thick and thin when common dropped and the dividend dropped they NEVER missed a dividend on the preferred. They sure as hell won't now. GLL

I wouldn't count on any trends until we see an increase (or god forbid a decrease) in the dividend. I expect the yield to remain in the low teens for quite some time so that even if the dividend were raised to $.20 we would still barely get back to mid $5 range. Nothing to do but bail or sit back and let the dividend (hopefully) continue to roll in. I'm not bailing out yet. GLL

I believe the last 3 or 4 2nd quarter declaration dates have all been on or before the 19th of June so I expect one today or tomorrow. I have no illusions about it being raised any time soon and expect $.16. GLL

It is worth noting that we've now had 17 consecutive (I believe this is the correct number) of $.875 dividends. At the current yield of 16% it is hard to complain ( although most of us paid a lot more than current price so our true yield is quite a bit lower but still good). I will start to feel more secure when I see an actual increase in the dividend. For now this is a highly risky stock with a phenomenal yield. GLL

On the one hand last earnings seemed to indicate adequate FCF to cover the current dividend, OTOH the share price has plummeted and that indicates lack of confidence by the market in the sustainability of such a high dividend, thus the suspense. We should see an announcement by Friday. I am expecting $.875 but certainly not counting on it, and will breath a sigh of relief if that's what we get. GLL

When folks panic and throw the baby (APTS) out with the bathwater( various less secure REITs) there is no telling what share prices will do. I am PRAYING for prices to get to $9.50. I'm not really in a good position to be buying anything but I would definitely swoop in and pick up a thousand or two thousand more shares at that price. That would give a very secure 7.5% yield. Wow! GLL
