Yep, this pathetic IBD article is the reason for the drop in SWHC shares and presents a good buying opportunity, especially with the concern in the news of a major attack at the Cannes Film Festival next week.

If you look at the FBI NICS data, you'll see that APRIL 2016 -- with 2,145,865 background checks -- is SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN ALL MONTHS IN 2015 EXCEPT NOV/DEC!

With an alarming title, this was obviously a HIT PIECE by IBD who may be in the pockets of the shorts who wanted to take SWHC down today. They'll cover and it'll move back up again. RGR's earnings didn't pop like it should have either (should have been up 10%-15%, but someone kept a lid on it.

I expected the same behavior as GD too. But notice how "they" ramped NOC right up to the conference call. From $200.50 to $205+ in a few minutes. Now, I'm thinking institutions are waiting until after the FOMC announcement uncertainty to make large buys...

It hasn't been down "more than 2%" today. Anyhow, yes, the low volume at the open was strange. It was a good earnings report, so I have to think that large buyers are waiting for both the Conference Call and the FOMC meeting results this afternoon before buying.

Perhaps institutional buyers waiting for the conference call at 12:00 before making a commitment?

Good question... I was wondering that too. If they don't mention it in the earnings conference call, it may not be optimistic for now..

  • Great FIT Conference Call yesterday at Pacific Crest. “80% of devices are Android" Implication they are less likely buyers of $AAPL Smartwatch.

$FIT – "We have other new products that we will be introducing later this year...."

$FIT CFO says in CC: “Right now retailers are DRAMATICALLY increasing store display linear footage -” -- for BLAZE/ALTA.

$FIT CFO says in CC: “Attach rates are higher than our forecasts.” (I assume this to mean accessories are selling well, which implies higher margins)

$FIT CFO says in CC: “We’re making enormous strides in Europe” (they also just got a distribution deal with “the Best Buy of Germany”)

$FIT CFO says in CC: “UK Adoption rates now about same as USA." Europe has reached an INFLECTION POINT.

$FIT CFO says in CC: Sensor Development – Will double their R&D staff which is now about 40 PHD guys.

$FIT CFO says in CC: “Blood pressure monitor would be a game changer.” (sounds like they’re working on it)

$FIT CFO says in CC: “Gov’t is happy to work with us.” (e.g. because we help bring healthcare costs down).
