Netflix relys on cable companies to provide internet service and save billions of dolloars of infrastructure spending every year. Now it will want to revolutionaize the cable industries...what a joke.
$100 cable/sat --- you need to pay $55 for a decent internet connection. If you don't want to know what is going on in the world, you can save $20 for basic service. Basic service gives at least some latest shows, not the stale shows in 1993.
Just a few original content (first right) and after that, what can you see? 250 episodes of Fraiser? How many origianl show they can put up while negative cashflow bleeding...They don't deserve this PE with the commodity service that trys to be a boutique shop!
Spend at all costs to build 'growth', and no much to watch except the stale TV shows and movies. Can't fight but it is just madness.
Should be a big creep in spending, expenses...Where do those get posted?
Got what you paid for. Can't even find Weather Man, Friends...
SEC must be buddies.
Hemlock Grove, unfortunately, is absolutely dreadful. The Roth-directed drama is an almost unwatchable muddle of horror tropes and painfully creaky dialogue.
Hemlock Grove" has a straight-to-Netflix feel that diminishes rather than promotes its "original series" aspirations.

I cannot even begin to describe how awful my experience watching 5his show has been. And Its a shame because I imagine it could have been really fun if it wasn't for the god awful writing, and even worse acting. I am a huge Famke Janssen fan, and her talent is wasted on a character with a terrible English accent. All the other actors breath as much life into their characters as a coma does a person. The writing...I don't even know what to say. It took every bit of restraint to get through the first 2 episodes. I was going to continue to give it a chance but I just don't think I can. House of Cards was amazing. This is its polar opposite as far a quality. Watch it for yourself and make your own judgment, but for me, I want my 2 hours back.
Reed is a spin master and magician with smokes and mirrors.
There is nothing to watch except old TV shows and that increases the hours spent.
So naive...how doesn't have original contents? What a big deal and Reed's spin fool you.
How many original contents NFLX has and they can be seen in one week. What else does it has? and $100 millions is gone, Ridiculous.
Seinfeld, Friends, The Hangover not available in Streaming.
Gap needs to be filled.
So easily fooled by Reed. 4 billions hours don't mean 33% more paying subscriptions. More important is how much more eanring they can earn.
Except old TV shows, what do you have to watch in Netflix? Howard Stern uses Netflix for what? Watch old TV shows to kill time?
How can he still be employed? He can go by missing one after another.
Such a wildly manipulated POS with so many mirrors and smokes. Shame on SEC to allow con artist/fraud master abuses the system to its max!
If it misses on revenue, subscriber growth, and earning, or future projection, that is very possible with more competition, higher content cost to produce those original series, int'l expansion which just add flashy numbers not no profits, Hemlock Grove is a bomb. Major lawsuits for those analysts and Reed to come!
