Why do I doubt that? Although I'm flattered by the attention. My attempts at satire are admittedly weak.
I don't have enough in this to feel that badly about FOUR. Anyone who does of course won't feel that way.
Keep up the good work; I respect your realistic outlook.
I remain worried about you Deek. I have never, ever been wrong about this. You dolts are clueless about how worried I am.
And still these things happen: May 14, 2015:
"Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ was hit in the head by a line drive and taken off the field on a stretcher during Toronto's game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night.
In a frightening scene at Tropicana Field, Desmond Jennings' second-inning liner caromed squarely off the left side of Happ's head in a loud "thwack!" The ball went all the way into the bullpen in foul territory halfway down the right-field line. Happ dropped face down at the front of the mound, holding his head with his glove and bare hand."
" I read the contracts and followed the court proceedings...." etc., etc.
Holding on to any opinion too long is like holding your pee too long. It results in kidney stones, UTI, bladder infection, kidney infection and even breaking out (toxins are kept in your skin by holding in your urine and your body will find way to try to get rid of them).
I worry about you, my friend. Relieve yourself and move on.
Dug, He may say FOUR. Never been wrong sez he.?
Does anyone have information or know whether there are any game-changing improvements in the offing for computers or laptops? By that I mean the kind of change that would cause desktop/laptop owners to trade up? Touch screens were the last big leap forward---but what's coming down the pike?
Good post, but our good friend feeds off such things. He's a force of nature. Like a faraway galaxy. Utterly amazing to look at but doesn't really affect us all that much.
That said, I have to believe HTCH management saw the handwriting on the wall and deftly hedged with Plan B and its OIS possibilities. That took foresight--they had seen what smartphones were doing to computer sales. And this was already knowable back in October when HTCH hit 4.70.
Why do I think our friend LTF saw the same thing and has lightened up here? Just a guess. With 20:20 hindsight I can wish I'd lightened up myself. And gotta give the devil (Deek?) his due. :)
Don't get too carried away. LTF has shared a good deal of knowledge and many of us thank him for his insights, but he's not stupid. His holdings can be large enough to move the market--a plus when he buys in for those of us who sometimes follow him, but he plays it close to the vest when he wants/needs to sell. Can't blame him for that but be careful not to hold on to something when his choices hit their upside high or encounter unexpected bad news. CLGRF ain't one of those that hit a high point yet.
bh880--are you short? Else why be here? You do have a case if you believe HTCH has pulled our leg these last few years. Like dugmalus though, I believe they're straight shooters.
I thought you were going to take the angle that these body cameras would need OIS to be more effective.
4Licensing seems to be missing the boat on this. How hard could a redesign be? They should have had something out on the market for the beginning of baseball season. A huge opportunity missed.
Good question. My devil theory is that somehow or other, computer trading is to blame. Flash crash in reverse. Either that or LTF is dumping his HTCH in favor of those booming gold or coal stocks he's touting. :)
