"Micron, on the other hand, is planning for 3D NAND volume manufacturing at its Singapore fab starting sometime in 2H16. Since Intel's JV with Micron (IM Flash-IMF) only includes the Utah fab and NOT Singapore, we do not rule out some form of closer relationship between Micron and Intel and to be announced tomorrow - to better safeguard supply of NAND (from Micron into Intel)," said Hosseini."
and I hardly call sitting on a stock (VG) for 5 years gambling...
Who said VG is my "favorite stock"? I just happen to own it and simply waiting for a small profit after 5 years...
What does your reply have to do with my "what does this outcome for EGHT say for VG now and going forward?"
xq, thx for refreshing our memory of this March 2015 article on INTC/MU's joint partnership (IMFT) on 3d NAND Flash! Well worth the read/re-read! kg
oldbeachlvr on the SA board (today's Shock Exchange article) seems to think: "MU and INTC make their joint announcement"
Yes, multitasking is much when you can expand all on one large screen...
However the arguement for the traditional PC/LC could be even more simpler than that, like preparing a business document, school paper or even Grandpa writing a serious long letter to Johnny. Need a keyboard and descent size screen.
Seattle Sunday Times article today of interest to the ongoing 'PC's Are Dead' argument. Mentions Win10 has a feature that makes the user interface interchangeable between PC's and mobile devices. Not having any experience with it yet makes it hard to say but would think this greatly diminishes the 'PC's Are Dead' argument.
Also mentions the free Win10 upgrade is only being offered for one year.
Also mentions not free to corporations upgrading and that there's lots of pent up demand co's holding off refreshing waiting for Win10.
So, Win10 might just help out MU and INTC more than recent analysts have been predicting... Hope so!

Answering my own question here. According to Seattle Sunday Times article today, the free upgrade is only good for one year.
Outstanding forecast! Couldn't have said it better! You might throw in that MU and stockholders have no interest in selling. No reason.
It does seem to make some sense to get corporate American and investors more long term oriented. Don't know if Hilary's idea as laid out will work though...
Actually, now after I've read the WSJ article, the purpose according to Hilary is to change wall street behavior from chronic short term qtrly profiting thinking to long term. It also says only raises taxes on the highest tax bracket earners (
So what does this outcome for EGHT say for VG now and going forward?
