Ah, serious telephone & text users and data consumers. OK, I get it. But you lost me when you talk about "4k videos on smart phones and "something x86 won't do ". What do you mean there. Talking about capacity, power, storage, etc., what?
Peak SCD days is probably an accurate comment and I agree. However SCD's are not completely going away or being replaced by Mobile/Cloud/IOT. I'm interested in the term "Serious Consumption Device". Not sure what you mean by it. Please explain.
I'm not pumping anything. Just stating I don't think the SCD model is dying as much as investors are being lead to believe.
broder, where you been all my life, ha! Seriously, I've been holding this dinasour INSP so long pretty I'll have held it longer than new investors have been alive, ha!
You make good points, that is if this new vectorvest proves itself. As far as I'm concerned Turbotax by itself will never get me back to BE. And I don't expect BCOR to get much or anywhere near a value comparable to what we'vce lost on INSP and this STUPID Monoprice! Lets just hope we can sell those two turds! Oh, I've got no choice, no strategy, no hope really, but to continue holding until my loss becomes less n less unbearable then get out. Now, the newcomver getting in now, that's different story. IF, IF, IF, this unproven, relativley UNKNOWN Vectorvest actually makes money and we don't have to wait 2 - 3 more years to evidence that, then yeah, newcomers will make some money on BCOR stock. Good luck with that!
Haven't been watching IBM. They're saying all the blue chippers are expensive now. I already own AAPL & FB in my Roth. I wanna buy some Amazon, Google, Home Depot, United Healthcare & Disney too. Would you say IBM's at a good price to buy now?
Good point on plenty of machines still running XP, home users and businesses. And yeah, anyone still running XP will probably also be refreshing their computer too, their entire platform.
When MSFT reports how many WIn10 upgrades to date, only Corporate upgrades are making any money. I've been out of the industry for 7 years now, so, don't have a good feel for where the big Co's are at on their refresh cycles. I would guess that the big businesses still have plenty of PCs (SCD's) and prior versions of Windows waiting for the OS upgrades and machine refreshes. My point is big businesses will stay with the SCD model rather than move everything mobile IOT.
Cheetah, if you're not currently taking up serious permanent residence on a geriatric ward, I'm sure you soon will be. You'll be alright, just keep taking your meds and typing madly everyday, every hour on your PC KEYBOARD...
Well, we've finished another annual tax filing season and BCOR(Turbotax) couldn't even break $6 share! Disgusted!

I'm wanting to sell as soon as this closes above $4.00. Why/what invisible force is holding this back and for so long???

Nice dodge! Like anyone who cann read, you know MU won't be turning the earnings around for at least a few more Qtrs. At this point, nobody knows until MU starts reporting shipments followed by revenue on 3D Nand. So, why are you really here everyday? I know you still have a hard on for SWKS so why don't you do this on that bd everyday?
With all the press recently about INTC, MU, IBM, etc ( Chip & HW producers) under producing due to mobile (IOT suppliers) out selling the traditional PC market, one has to wonder just how much longer this goes on. It seems to me PC users are stuck in a quandry - how much longer/when do I jump out and refresh my home and/or business computer, or serious computing device (SCD)? Take me sitting at home with my now 7 year old Toshiba laptop newly upgraded with WIN 10 & MS Office 7. I can go on this machine and SW just fine for probably another 5 years, upgrading SW only when imperative. And Fortune 500 business companies (say Boeing for instance) are probably good for another two years on existing SCD's & WIN 7. My understanding is businesses do not get the free Win 10 upgrade like home users, so, many businesses are at a decision pt right now whether to buy the new Win 10, stick with some versionn of the old PC (SCD) platform or go sunset most everything and go to the Cloud IOT model for good. I doubt businesses have reached that conclusion yet anymore than the average home user. I believe the some version of the old PC (SCD) model will win out in the end and that the end of this waiting game is just about over. I don't see the latest Mobile - IOT platform totally replacing the entire PC's - SCD market. Sooner or later the likes of INTC, MU, IBM, etc ( Chip & HW producers) are going to commit and hum with new orders and probably not fast enough for pent up demand. I want to be still owning my Micron shares Long when that starts.
Thoughts / Opinions?
Kg2931 (MU Long 2K shrs @ $24.92 held since 3/5/14)
Cheetah, I can't believe you or anyone is shorting MU these days since it's stuck neither going down or up. So, without making an options training class out of this question, what makes the MU stock especially good for your method of "always buy in the money Long options out many months"? In other words why do you keep hanging around MU and the MU msg bd? kg
I confess, I originally bought this as a trader and got stuck. Having admitted that, still, I always do certain amount of DD before i buy traders and TSRA seemed a good bet at the time to hold its own long term. The fact that it hasn't kept tanking after the initial drop from my $36 to now $29-$30's and holding quite nicely is an indication my DD wasn't too bad...
Watch, CFIUS will let China do this and next CHina will buy a little bit here, a little bit there, a little bit here, a little bit there, and so on and so on until in effect Chinese owner(s) have majority ownership.... Just watch...
yle, if & when RBY files bankruptcy then when you file your return, attach a copy of the US Bankruptcy Court notice showing the effective date of bankruptcy and use that as your Sale Date. If you're like me you won't ever sell because you have no use for the micro pennies on the dollar you get back and it's less hassle just to let it ride - never know until the fat lady sings... However, if you need the write off, best to sell and take it ASAP because there will likely come a time when you can no longer sell your shares and will have to just wait until the Bankruptcy Court announces the effective date.
Ditto. Couldn't have said it better...
MU should buy Tsinghua Unigroup. USA wouldn't mind and maybe China would even loan us the money to buy it, har, har, har,!!!!!!!!!!
