Actually, at $5.41 I'd make back my cost back plus about .5% interest per year on a money market acct. Yeah, the opportunity cost I'd eat. It's been one of my more serious blunders no doubt about that. Five yrs ago. Bought it as a trade. Had no business or interest getting into the telecom sector and still don't. ..
Selling at anything less than 5.21 is a loss for me after 5 years! Hardly call that seeking the "top". I don't think $5.40 was asking that much considering the rise we've HAD, telecoms are in favor and the VG ER just around the corner .
Hindsight - now you might be right - now that we're dropping daily and now at 4.77! But the whole market is dropping - so not unique to VG.
Thank you for clarifying the difference between your interest and mine on VG. I've been holding VG 5 yrs now and wanting to get out around 5.40 (which could have been right around the corner had it not dwindled to 4.90). You're in it for the long haul, which I applaud - no complaint there. Good luck with your "analysis are based in historical data"... Go VG!

Although I like and appreciate your quoted offering suggesting the average is $5.53 and seeing $6.157 in 52 wks, the title of your Topic is misleadingly cheerleadish, "Vonage Target Price $109". Let the facts speak for themselves. VG is doing well now. Anybody can see that.
I mean seriously! There;s nothing wrong with discussion attempting to make sense of the sp if presented with facts n data leading to reasonable conclusions. For example, tracking VG periodically on what the rest of the industry is doing/done, or, compared to the overall market. These things give clues, indicators as to how this animal is trading. To deny that, throw up your hands and say, 'VG will get there when it gets there', is to deny that trying to plan an exit strategy is smart investment logic!
Thanks for your take Codi! Glad your still here too! I share your views. I try to skim all the MU articles by SA writers (Fischer, Electric Fred, etc). Currently I see no definite red flags coming out of them. Russ has sorted of demoted himself calling it wrong on INTC and MU lately, so, so much for his crystal ball. Of course still respect his knowledge.
There's a news release on Sandisk today suggesting the ER issues dropping Sandisk are unique to Sandisk. So, not really a proxy for MU. That's encouraging.
I don't see rough seas for MU, just stagnation until 3Q or 4Q. Short term I'm not optimistic but not pessimistic either, just don't expect much news to move the sp. At least not until 3Q reports (July) and 4Q (Sept). It's a waiting game. My general sense of where the MU sp is going: will hold 27 - 28 between now and 3Q. Then, regardless of whether 3Q meets/exceeds, as long as guidance for 4Q remains good as expected, then I sense the sp will start to climb at that point back into the low 30's. Especially if they give good news on the 3D schedule. Then if 4Q matches meets/exceeds and guidance continues good, back above 35 going into end of year.
As for whether I'll stick around clear to 4Q. I doubt it. Right now I'm looking for an exit point between 28 - 29 ASAP, then watch and maybe get back in after the 3Q ER, or 4Q ER. Might try to trade it on the way as well - just can't see tying up $50K on the waiting game. But I do believe the wait will eventually pan out. I believe in MU.

Thx for that important key word "claims". Well, I suppose if someone has claim to the water RBY's drilling around, then if RBY screws it up, RBY gets sued and production stops. So, indirectly, the 'claims' issue is relevant.
This new Gilvar guy sound like a feather in VG's bonnet. Hope it translates to some upward sp movement real quick!
"Vonage names Gilvar CMO • 10:37 AM
Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
• Vonage (NYSE:VG) has named Ted Gilvar its chief marketing officer, effective Monday.
• Gilvar joins the firm from Monster Worldwide, where he was CMO. Previously Gilvar was managing director at BBDO.
• A winner of B2B Marketer of the Year honor from B2B magazine for three years straight, he'll spearhead the company's strategic move into the B2B area"
Tell me about it! However, at the price it's at now, it's a solid hold or trader into 3Q. Tell me another stock at this price with as good or better valuation that everything's already baked in and no where to go but up.
Yeah man, I really like your "secular leg of the intermediate bull trend above $5.4 and fundamental confirmation of cup and handle formation." That's really impressive. Now, why don't you speak English. Tell us, will VG's earnings/guidance be in line, up or down?
Tell me something to dispute my Topic point; that despite getting closer n closer to the ER, the VG sp is dwindling or just matching the overall market dwindling (since VG's recent $5.20 highs). Since you're Down Arrowing my Topic, tell me that, try staying in Topic.
In the past few weeks this MU msg bd has become over run by repetitive junk Topics trying to sell stuff (spammers). Perhaps who ever pays these clowns will move them somewhere else based on Down Arrow stats.... I dunno, worth a try... kg
Copied this today from an article re Sandisk. Might come as a relief to MU holders:
"There is a tendency on the Street today to point out that the memory market is just fine, and that the problems are really specific to SanDisk, and not a concern for others such as Micron Technology (MU) and Samsung Electronics (005930KS).
The stock has gotten at least four downgrades this morning, that I can see, from Credit Suisse, Citigroup, Susquehanna, and Raymond James.
Credit Suisse’s Jonathan Pitzer, who cut his rating on the shares to Neutral from Outperform writing that “We remain bullish on the memory sector – consolidation, slowing Moore’s Law, capital discipline, new applications/robust demand – and continue to have a positive view on Micron in the US and Toshiba, Samsung and Hynix in Asia.”"
Thx, I'll take your word for it on the WFN issues.
PS: ultimateirony1, I'm not "late to the party". I was too early to the party and gave up watching for lack of news of substantial progress. Thus, my attention is on my other investments and rarely pay attn to RBY other the sp. (OK, you can continue bad mouthing or scolding now, ha!)

Why are legitimate questions "silly"? There's apparently a question on the table regarding water rights under water and also regarding the status of the WFN court action/approval.
Thx for chiming in park. What about the court action with WFN? That involved water rights too didn't it? Did that get settled and did we get any/all necessary Approval from that issue?
Sorry to ask you to bring me up to speed on what I've missed but did the "WFN for their frivolous court action" conclude and did it settle? Is that issue over? kg
