Yes, multitasking is much when you can expand all on one large screen...
However the arguement for the traditional PC/LC could be even more simpler than that, like preparing a business document, school paper or even Grandpa writing a serious long letter to Johnny. Need a keyboard and descent size screen.
I accessed the link and registered. Have this on my calendar to attend tomorrow morning. Hope it's not a scam...
Seattle Sunday Times article today of interest to the ongoing 'PC's Are Dead' argument. Mentions Win10 has a feature that makes the user interface interchangeable between PC's and mobile devices. Not having any experience with it yet makes it hard to say but would think this greatly diminishes the 'PC's Are Dead' argument.
Also mentions the free Win10 upgrade is only being offered for one year.
Also mentions not free to corporations upgrading and that there's lots of pent up demand co's holding off refreshing waiting for Win10.
So, Win10 might just help out MU and INTC more than recent analysts have been predicting... Hope so!

Answering my own question here. According to Seattle Sunday Times article today, the free upgrade is only good for one year.
Outstanding forecast! Couldn't have said it better! You might throw in that MU and stockholders have no interest in selling. No reason.
It does seem to make some sense to get corporate American and investors more long term oriented. Don't know if Hilary's idea as laid out will work though...
Actually, now after I've read the WSJ article, the purpose according to Hilary is to change wall street behavior from chronic short term qtrly profiting thinking to long term. It also says only raises taxes on the highest tax bracket earners (
So what does this outcome for EGHT say for VG now and going forward?
All I know is I'll be a fool either way, if I sell now for BE (lose oppty cost), or if I hold on another few weeks ans sell - maybe earn .75 to 1% after 5 years... But one things for sure, unless VG tells us what's up their sleeve pretty soon, I'm outta here around $5.41.
If you stay on Win7 forever, eventually new applications will start hicuping until you upgrade to Win10 or the latest. My question would be: if you don't take the free win10 upgrade now, how long will it remain free? I assume Microsoft will honor the free upgrade until Win11 comes out but don't know that for sure. Anybody?
italian, appreciate your sentiment but long termers wouldn't want anything south of $50 shr (if MU would sell to China, if the US Govt would allow, which they won't) Ain't happening. But not to worry, MU will rise on it's own next year.
One can/does use tablets for business computing as well and will more n more so BC doesn't cover it. PC's, Desktops, Towers, anything with a descent keyboard & screen falls outside of mobile computing. (of course, don't try telling this to a millenial)
INTC currently only owns 20% Tsinghua. Tsinghua (China) willl take over or take control of INTC China in a NY minute!
cheetah, come on! Why don't you just fess up that you're either Short or whatever your real agenda is for haunting this board daily without owning any MU! I don't buy your crusader story...
Tow can play China's games. ":they block intel done deal" and we block them getting our technology and the talent to mfg their own chip market...
