W2B,...You still demonstrate a lack of class and a limited vocabulary. You never miss an opportunity to go ad hominem instead of presenting facts to support your agenda. The good news is that you have retreated from the UTX board, thanks..........Kid

Being curious, I checked on most fuel efficient airliners. Data shows that the Lockheed 1049 (Super Constellation) and the DC-7 , both with propellers, are the most efficient for passenger miles per gallon of fuel, almost twice as good as today's best. They, of course, didn't have the speed or range of today's planes. I have flown the Super Constellation, very comfortable...Kid

W2B, we never came close to $70. that you predicted and UTX has been above $120. So, you again demonstrate that you are no Nostradames.........want2bik • Nov 15, 2012 8:58 AM
Could be another week before we see $70. It is all dependent on what the republicans do in the house. If they don't pass the tax cut for 98% of the population we will go below $70. These clowns didn't win the election so they are going to ruin our country again. This time when we start down the Fed has nothing left to save us. We may have to wait 2 more years before we can get these idiots out of Congress. The republicans will get their way and taxes will stay low because most of us will not be making money. It will not effect traders like you because you can short UTX. That is how you and the hedge funds make money, right? I do not short stocks so I will stay in the stable value fund. Unfortunately when I get my distribution i will need to have taxes withheld while you and MITT have figured out a way to make money and wait until April 15 to pay your taxes. When do you think we will see $80 again? Are you waiting for the $120 prediction that MR. DAVID made?

    GE Restructuring

ctb,......The wheels came off the GE bus in 2007, it traded at $42.07 on September 2007 and then collapsed. If you were on board in early 2007, you got your chestnuts roasted and never recovered. I traded GE quite bit in 2009, my lowest entry point was $9.79 in March 2009. I have never traded GE since 2009. As I've said before , some nice products but, a lousy investment. I still don't like paying more taxes than GE.........Kid

ctb,.....Nice movement in your favor, congratulations, but, W2B is hard to impress. With him, you are always wrong. Just finishing up my taxes and the 2 Obamas only paid 36% more taxes than I did, so, on a per capita basis, I pay more than they do and I have to pay for my own toilet paper. I'll have to mention this to Warren Buffet.......Kid

GE is up 7% pre-market due to re-structuring announcement. Hayes is probably taking notes although UTC doesn't present as much opportunity as GE with it's far flung operating units, locomotives, light bulbs, medical equipment, steam turbines, aircraft engines and financial operations......Kid

ctb,....Thanks for the longevity wishes, but, it's unlikely that I'll be here in 50 years. Had Easter dinner at an upscale on the water restaurant in FL. My son and daughter-in-law were also at the table. My son told me, "Fly first class Dad, if you don't, your kids will", I thought that was pretty funny. But, coach is $200 round trip and first class is $800., I just can't do it. Coach and first class leave and arrive at the same time.......Kid

You have no idea how low this stock can go but you are about to find out"................W2B, How's that smart money doing? Looks to me that it's down 37% since your call and has earned no dividends. You are no Nostradames........Kid

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pratt & Whitney's PurePower engine family has completed more than 16,000 hours and 31,000 cycles of full engine testing, including 3,500 hours of flight time. The data includes flight testing information from eight aircraft with PurePower Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engines. The PW1100G-JM engine is the only engine flying on the Airbus A320neo aircraft, with two aircraft flying, and the PW1500G engine is powering flights on six Bombardier CSeries planes. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (UTX) company.
"Our PurePower Geared Turbofan engine is the most advanced engine certified today. It is flying and meeting or exceeding technical expectations and customer commitments, an early preview of the significant value these engines are expected to provide customers following entry into service," said Greg Gernhardt, president, Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines. "Our PurePower engine technology equals pure profit for airlines and this is only the beginning."
The GTF engine's architecture will save millions of dollars in fuel expenses and maintenance costs year after year. Demand for the GTF engine stands at more than 6,300 orders, including options, to date with 60 customers from 30 countries.
"This is an incredible time for us. This year our PW1200G engine will power the Mitsubishi Regional Jet on its first flight, our PW1400G engine for Irkut will complete testing and receive certification, and our PW1900G engine for Embraer's EJet E-2 will initiate its flight test program," said Gernhardt. "Today we are on the brink of another bright chapter in Pratt & Whitney's 90-year history of providing dependable engines."
