There is no logic. Short sellers are "betting" the price will go down. hee hee ... like the idiots that shorted Nokia. LOL
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I started buying KMP in 1996 by purchasing Santa Fe Pacific P/L which KMP in turn bought. Since then I've added to my position such that my average cost is $16/share. Getting a pretty nice return on the original investment. There is no better investment on the planet.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Best thing for you to do is SELL!!! Sell your shares and go be negative on some other board. I'm waiting for a lower point at which time I'll add to my 5,300 share position. Blue chip company with good management.
Why panic with the crowd of lemmings? The best way to make money with MLPs is to be a long term holder. Your 200 shares may not be much to you but they're paying a $800 distribution. When the lemmings dump their shares - buy.
I enjoy these occasional pullbacks - I get to buy more shares! As a long term investor, I really do not care about short term fluctuations. There are always fools who think they can day-trade and play options with KMP but having owned KMP since 1996, I've enjoyed two splits (so far) and countless dollars of distributions. It's always fun to check the share price and calculate my long term gains but shoot! I'm not selling - I'm just collecting distributions. Indeed, we'll see $100/share soon but these short-term fools who listen to "analysts" too much will reduce our share price in the short term. Big deal. As our leader once said: "the best is yet to come".
A house of cards waiting to collapse. I've seen it before. A small company like ADK simply cannot make this many acquisitions without hiccups. Wish I could short the stock.
I understand, now, the reason for the FTR price decline and continuing huge volume ...
Short position on 12.15.11 - -0-
Short position on 12.31.11 - 74 million shares
I'm excited that we'll soon see an acute short squeeze coming!
"overbought"???? That's a term the pundits have come up with that doesn't make sense. KMP is a great company and as Rich Kinder says: "the best is yet to come".
Nothing better than buy and hold. I've been in KMP and KMR since 1996; have enjoyed two splits; and constant distribution increases. Of course, I cannot sell because of the tax consequences but who cares! I'll just pass the shares to my kids and they get a step-up in basis! It's a great ride and as Rich Kinder says: "the best is yet to come".
