it's about time to swing to 52 weeks high

Sounds good but gain of 30% is like touching the sky and let us see how ceo appeals to investors. investors are smart- will they not like to hear first his road map for success within the company where he is facing large number of law suits involving millions at stake. If he want more capital what will be its use- investors will worry if that money will be used for growth and not for such expenses. Dividend will attract some investors. let us see what comes out from company in appeal to investors.

Yes HAFC did it. It shows much stability and after effect of the merger and opening up in new markets. Good job finally. The only worry is lots of pending and potential legal actions. In these results, no mention on these. GLTA

    Sorry to summarize the events:
1.April 2009, Hanmi came under scrutiny first from the California Department of Financial Institutions
2.In November, the bank’s difficulties came to the attention of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, which forced it into an agreement to reform its practices
3.August 25, 2011, the FBI sends out a trainer for Hanmi Bank’s officers to get the bank to come up to acceptable security standards for the banking industry
4.June 26, 2013, a lawsuit is filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No. BC 513584, alleging all sorts of transgressions against Hanmi by one of its business customers, including violations of the “RICO Act” (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act), 18 USC 1961 et seq.
5.A customer has sued HANMI BANK, of California under the 42 U.S.C. Section 1981, Violation of Federal- Civil Rights law at Superior Court of the State of California.
6.Raymon Freeman, Senior Officer at Hanmi Bank HQ sued Hanmi in December 2011 for wrongful termination and personal injury.
7.In March 2014, another senior Officer of Hanmi Bank has filed law suit against Hanmi Bank for its discriminatory practices in California District Superior Court. It involves Civit Rights and lots of other issues of serious nature.
    8. In 2014 several senior Offices of Hanmi Bank were harassed and forced to quit. Few threated to file law suit/ filed with EEOC and Bank had to pay handsome money to settle such cases from its HR Manager, Senior Loan Managers etc. etc.
    9. The biggest law suit i.e. class action law suit is in progress in Los Angeles Superior Court titled as Kim Vs Hanmi Bank at No. BC534578 which will cover the cases of discriminatory practices of Bank during Jan, 2010 to the date of final judgement. As an investor I urge bank to issue press release.

Word on street is that Hanmi Bank , A California Corporation has hired a law firm to defend itself in a putative Class Action Law suit , for violation of California labor laws, filed by its former employee. As an investor, I firmly believe , Corporation must issue a press release and also inform investors on other similar filings either from former employees or customers etc. It will be in the interest of the Company and its Board of Directors who are well experienced to protect interest of all stockholders.

Company news said in 5/30/2014 on appointment of new CCO that
" Randall has the skills to provide the leadership in credit administration to enable Hanmi to safely grow and to enter new markets."
Company news again says on 4/06/2015 that CCO has resigned. It further says that he will stay to train his Dy CCO to take over as CCO. Was he not with him already and during this period he did not learn from him!
= Company has entered in new markets and fully grown!!!!!!!!!!Wow! GLTA

why is this bank so undervalued?

American Bankers carried this news item when new CEO came "After spending recent years repairing its balance sheet, Hanmi Financial is again looking to grow. To do so, it's eyeing markets that Korean-American lenders have traditionally neglected." Where is the growth and which markets got the eyes but one thing is sure if it claims that balance sheet is repaired- financial one is repaired but human balance sheet of the Bank is in mess- insider sale off, actions , class action, low morale of employees. IMO lot is to be done to give back to investors....

Look at insider transactions: Ex Director who entered at $ 24+ price finally gave up all the hopes and sold at $ 20+ on his Company. Big heart guy! I am sure he realized that several on-going issues after take over of Central Bank by this Company (A mistake realised --late) coupled with on-going law suits , internal policies, low morale of employees paints not a good picture. Rosy speeches from executives at Conferences where people are allowed with invite only does not help. Press release from management for general knowledge of investors is a good tool. This Director has a well known and proven repute in financial industry.

HAFC is otherwise a company backed by very strong base- website claims the merger of system will complete by Feb 8th that is good for customers and investors of both banks Hafc and Central Bank but a strong wind of fear is flowing within bank about workforce. HAFC will come out with plan to slash lots of positions to improve efficienty ratios, profit increase and stock price increase.D day is coming investors! If stmoon212 iis expecting $ 30 is a good joke
