Yes, and LOCO's customer base is very loyal with a high weekly return rate for lunch and dinner. Large menu selection, great taste, healthy ingredients, 6 items under 500 calories, great service, modern setting and all at a very affordable price point (entrees from $5 with drink up to $8). There's no real competition in their segment of fast casual with added convenience of drive through for those on the go.
Chipotle's fat grams, calories and sodium exposed by CBS on the morning news show with Charlie Rose today. Very bad press!
I would anticipate LOCO to report stellar performance on same store comps and profits, etc. Will ride the wave back to the high 303 and beyond as they continue forward.
Their food line and strict portion control reminds me of eating at a cafeteria style self serve restaurant, which is not so great for me. Food taste isn't much different wither. Price much higher. So what's all the fuss about?
Right, great food, service, quality (many healthy choices over and under 500 calories) and value with over 400 locations in CA. All of the ones I've seen are very busy dine in and drive through for lunch and dinner.
Check this out..
Everything is looking good for LOCO's future. Unlike some of the others in the fast casual category that appear to be priced mainly on hype, etc., LOCO doesn't overstate or exaggerate, they appear to be very well managed at the corporate and operations level providing really good food and service at affordable price while controlling costs and with good same store comps on revenues and profits. Also, I would venture to say that they are among an elite group with the very best restaurant television advertising in the country.
There's no reason to anticipate otherwise. Great menu selection, really delicious food served fresh and piping hot, large selection under 500 cal, well positioned fast casual price point including several combos at $5.00 with a drink, good service dining in and drive through, etc. There's no real competition in this particular segment of fast casual and their format is very hard to copy. The new stores are fabulous and renovations (interior/exterior) at the earlier locations are coming out very fast and nice.
I spend a lot of time in California where LOCO has over 300 of their 400+ stores. All the stores I visit are very busy fore lunch and dinner and appear to be very well managed. Added convenience of their drive through option generates a lot of incremental sales.
Should pick up another few more bucks following the report and then step up the pace of return to mid 30s and beyond.
Nothing very good about being a bit fat roach, just ask cashback. He knows all about being a roach.
What's your point, they serve on 24k gold plates or ????
HABT with only around 100 locs and no drive through, is about 3x overpriced at current valuation. S/B in the teens soon at which level will be a safe entry point.
