raids, dark pools, funny business and goofy trades! Doesn't matter! No matter how you slice it, your shares are worth $2.71 as of close today.
maybe because Belviq has been on the market significantly longer than Contrave? In the end, what does sales per representative have to do with anything? Neither OREX nor ARNA pay any more OR less for the reps that peddle their drugs. You are probably the ONLY investor that is looking at the hidden gem in biotech investing kown as DSPSR (Drug Sales Per Sales Rep). So, if you are the ONLY person that cares about that ratio, then you are probably the only one placing any value on it, Mr. lower case 'I'
that is one aspect I find funny on this message board. They bash VVUS and they sell about as much pills as ARNA and they bash OREX and they sell more pills than both of them. Yet, talk about "best in breed" and getting 4x current price in a buyout. Do you think there is a best in breed Opossum? Does anyone care?
I said i would not buy twtr unless things changed. I lied. I bought 50% of my original position over the last 3 days. 1) I know I'm trying to catch a falling knife. 2) changes are coming 3) insiders bought
figured I'd clear that air since we've talked about that symbol in the past and I've changed my stance.
how do you plan to get to $10 per share when anyone that wanted to could buy shares at $2.71
I sometimes wonder if you areniacs think before you type.
whatever the problem is, it cant be that bad. If it were bad, then after 3 years you'd probably be dead.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not calling a bottom here or any permanent directional bias. This one has taken a real whoopin. Not just over the last 3 years but just over the last couple of months. Should this go up from here to retest near term support/resistance levels I fully expect it to come back to this 2.65-2.75 area just to make sure the buyers at this level really would buy again. There will mostly assuredly be a double bottom on this one unless there is some kind of epic event that makes everyone poop in their pants. whatever that bottom ends up being. I just think if there was going to be some buying that it might be about to happen and if it doesn't happen then down to the next level in search of buyers.
I will give you credit. You see the light through the end of a long tunnel. Me, I see a completely desolate space.
I believe this stock sits on a short term directional indicator. Today(i leave my windows WIDE open) we will learn if the near term price will be 2.90 or continue down to the next level of support which I am failing to find. I will call it $2.15. that price was a long time ago with a lot of events (good and bad) that have happened since then. I'm not sure I subscribe to the theory that says support levels are indefinite.
Oh, I didn't say it wasn't impacted; just not the way it would have been had there been a split. Your piece of the pie didn't shrink, but your share of the pie did.
let me try this in big bold letters so that even people like you might get what you are missing: WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE?
Do you think if me and 30+ people went to the police station and said "ahc1111 is a soviet spy and steals state secrets" do you think the police station would just jump up and start wire tapping you and following you? No, the first thing the police station would ask is "What evidence do you have?"
that sounds like a good idea! what evidence should we submit to prove our point? Or do you think the SEC is going to just start a random investigation based on the fact that YOU lost some money in an investment. I for one, am not in favor of funding the SEC so they could actually pay for the investigations of all people that think they got the short end of the stick.
I think there are a few more ways to get Hep C (those commercials seem to portray all the Hep C patients as cute moms with otherwise responsible lives.) Anyway, the numbers of Hep C patients I don't think is the number of Obese patients. I will agree to pay for diet meds when the patients agree to diet and exercise. I would put the same expectations on Obesity meds too. And for the Hep C patient, I would say they should have to prove they are not drug users anymore if they want tax payers to pay for their treatments. We probably aren't on too different a page, you and I.
they are going to ask you to present evidence. its a "tip" box not a "i think something fishy is going on" box. So, what evidence do YOU plan to submit?
technically speaking, it is already approved. Nothing is stopping a doctor from writing for both scripts. In fact, I'd wager a healthy sum of money that there are more than a few doctors already doing just that. What you want is for Arena to spend a lot of money to mash up two drugs and then pay a lot of money to study the two drugs working together and then spend a lot of money to get the FDA to say "ok! you can sell that combo as a adjunct to diet and exercise."
Here is the question you should be asking as an investor, not as an emotional girly girl: If Belviq isn't selling all by itself, why would adding phen increase sales?
For every stock that went through the same thing ARNA has been in the last 3 years I can show you many institutions that held the stock and lost money on the stock. Sometimes, when you control a 300, 400, 1000, 2000+ million dollar investment firm you put a little tiny portion of it in a company like ARNA or DNDN or Peptimmune or MicroIslet or Accentia... They all had promising drugs in promising patient populations. You see, these institutions don't have to put up a lot of money to have a considerable stake (5%+) in a potential "blockbuster". risk vs reward. Retail can play that game too. But, when you have 10 or 20 or dare I say some on this board have 50% of their investment dollars in this one VERY speculative, VERY dangerous stock, well, bad things can and will happen. But, in the biotech category, I wouldn't look to those high flying peers for guidance. But, that is just me.
right now, they are worth the same as everyone else's shares. 2.68. You are up 2 cents. Not sure what kind of convoluted math you are trying to partake in.
if they are all attached to the same rail why is that during the last 30 days ARNA is down roughly 35% but the indexes or RAILS as you call them are only down about 6%
Anything McFly? Anything? No? Ok. Shut up then.
