They need to consolidate. Get rid of what doesn't work. Sell some stores or close em down. I've seen Brinker sell off whole concepts that didn't work. You can't let a few bad apples ruin the whole bushel. Why don't they get this? Management needs to wake up.
The CFO is saying they rely on local or "word of mouth" type advertising which imo isn't working. I wasn't even aware there was a Noodles restaurant in my city until I took a drive about 2 months ago and surprisingly saw one of their restaurants in an old established part of town. I remember when you turned on the tv and saw nothing but Chili's babyback ribs! Hey whatever it worked!
Kind of a mixed picture with CSCO.

I agree re higher healthcare costs. The pundits at CNBC have questioned why consumer spending isn't better since gasoline prices have gone down. They obviously haven't looked at their health insurance bills. I'm retired but not yet Medicare age and my premium has more than doubled and the deductible is ridiculous. This kinda eats up any benefit from lower gas prices. When I choose to go to a restaurant, cost is definitely a factor! Healthcare costs are ridiculous and getting worse by the day!
Large cap dividend stocks usually have good institutional support and imo not a good short candidate. NDLS seems to have a large short position and If I were short I'd think about covering ahead of these two investor conferences, and in particular the one slated for Friday when NDLS presents at 9:30 a.m. My guess is there will be some institutional investment interest unless NDLS management totally blows it! After this past earnings report, management has got to know its "make or break" time. Pathetic job imo!
One lousy negative call is all it takes.
CSCO will recover. One lousy analyst downgraded today. He was a lone wolf. Most are thumbs up and other analysts raised price targets to 36 - 38 area this morning. CSCO improved their margins substantially. It'll probably be up over $30 next week imo!
i think we are all shell shocked as celg can't seem to hold any gain. opened up nicely and hit 115.10 only to sell off again! sos
Generally I add shares when good stocks drop below this critical benchmark and haven't been disappointed. Maybe not everyone has the guts to do this but if you are long term it works to your benefit 95% of the time. just sayin!
Me too Michael. Me too! Watching all the other stocks soaring while I sit here on this POS. Yet we know this is the best of breed which just plum doesn't make sense. I could almost tear my hair out at this point. Sooner or later logic must return. FB is driving me crazy as well!
