A better solution would be to reduce management by 1 billion so BP workers will be less distracted by management. I am only speaking from 17 years of BP experience so you may ignore me. How many years did you work for BP?
This company will come out on top. Your claim and the false claims of all the other rats will come and haunt you. Serves you right.
Vikki. 1 billion is simply the cost of a wildcat out in the ocean. Of course they write that off on a dry well. What do expect? They count it as income or book it as reserves?. You are definitely not a CPA and if you had a High School diploma you would write such ignorant comments. Its straight forward book keeping and nothing else.
Vikki. You forget that more than 99% of the people in the Gulf states were not materially impacted by the spill but many of them received BP dollars by the truck load. If you have any connections in the South, you will have heard my comments many times straight from the horses mouth. People that received thousands or millions of dollars for nothing are willing to put up with some distant, short-term pollution. Thats not a stretch. You don't know your own kind, i.e. #$%$ sapiens.
I agree with Akerson. GM shouldn't pay but the ex-CEOs, Akerman himself and overly greedy Union bosses should foot the bailout bill personally.
BP is paying for all the fraud and racketeering by drilling for more oil in the Gulf. Not a peep from the South about this.. They are all keeping their fingers crossed hoping for another big spill and even bigger damage payout. They love the Gulf and they love it black.
What they "forgot" to add is that the damaged area of the Gulf that will take decades to recover encompasses 0.000001% of the Gulf while the remaining 99.999999% is already fully recovered or even in better health (fisheries!!) than prior to the spill. Fish love BP, fishermen love BP, Red Lobster loves BP, the Gulf loves BP, my car loves BP.
A rightfully so, I would be purposely polluting while BP experienced a disaster during a perfectly lawful and honorable endeavor. I wonder why people like you cannot phantom what a miracle it is that we can successfully drill for oil out in the ocean and miles below the surface. Why do you automatically think that when something goes wrong, crimes have been committed? Instead you should be in awe that drilling goes right so often. Also, thank Big Oil workers everything you fire up your car, hop on an airplane or heat your house. Yes, thats an order. Have you ever achieved anything of substance in your own life? No, you have not, because you would then understand others much better.
When will they ever get to some material issues? Whenever people argue, people feel misled. Thats a given and it does not belong in the court. Also deleting a few txts on a phone doesn't belong in court. Have we gone nuts? Yes, we have. At the same time there is clearly fraud and racketeering being committed by the Barbier/Juneau team. Thats where the courts are for.
No, BP has no problem finding good personnel. Who wouldn't want to work for this great employer except perhaps you? Are you #$%$ because BP turned you down?
After the spill hotels were packed with journalists, clean-up workers, environmental activists, politicians, lawyers, tourists, charlatans, gawkers etc etc. They had a banner year there. All in all the Macondo spill has become a financial windfall for Florida and the South in general. Where is BP's share? They did all the work!
crime syndicates work in the dark, try to cover their tracks and hide. In the South there is no need for that. Barbier and Juneau simply do not understand why people become upset by their fraud, racketeering and corruption. For them its is tradition, culture and a beautiful way of life.
Barbier and Juneau knowingly and willingly aided and abetted this fraud. They should spend the rest of their miserable lives in jail. The Feds should step in and throw out all claims so the courts are freed up to deal with the massive fraud which has become a much bigger issue than the Macondo spill itself. It needs to be fully addresses and now.
I buy BP gas all the time, then I drive to the Gulf dump it in the surf to feed the fishies and go get some more. Better get some yourself before its all gone.
True , but I bought TM a few years ago. Have done clearly better than I would have done with GM over that period. I wish GM the best though. Having to pay part of the mandatory 10.5 billion dollar loss has #$%$ me off but I will be putting that behind me. Done deal. No point crying over spilled milk.
Why don't you educate yourself a bit. There are countless scientific papers about the role natural crude plays in (marine) ecosystems. Why is that so unbelievable to you? Crude oil is a high energy food source. It is simply unimaginable that nature would forego such a rich food source. Why do you think we humans use it. Because it is worthless? Oil and oxygen drive the entire world economy? Do you hate oxygen too?
I hope BP will throw everything at these criminals. Go BP. Give them hell. They have asked for it. No mercy for the frauds and crooks.
