The more I read about Patrick Juneau's behavior the more I am convinced the man should be arrested, keelhaled and brought back to the surface for sentencing. Unbelievable. The man has completely violated the letter and spirit of the settlement simply for personal financial gain. He has granted claims to companies that incurred damages long BEFORE the spill which were obviously completely unrelated to the spill. Let the keelhaling begin.
Yeah and that makes almost just as little sense as finding all Americans grossly negligent for 9/11. The courts have to give some consideration to what BP bankruptcy means for millions of BP retirees and any retiree or investor holding BP stocks. Suddenly droves of people won't be able to pay for Obamacare or taxes anymore. That will get our politicians and President engaged.
These guys have a great line-up of cars that sell well all over the world. Volkswagen is a good long term investment in my opinion. Company is making profit while growing fast. How often de we see that? Happily got in myself a few months ago.
No, you were right and you have detected strong future trend. Good job. Excellent work. This stock is on a roll. Its the only stock I still hold. Sold everything else several weeks ago. Couldn't part with this stock at current ultra low prices. Foreseeing $60/sh before 2014 is halfway over.
Yes, but BP wouldn't exist anymore under the strategy. The victims will be the ex-stockholders who lost part of their investments when BP paid the frauds and sometimes paid for completely unnecessary cleanups. The defendants would be numerous claimants, lots of state officials, the EPA, the claim administrators, a few judges, several members of Congress, President Obama, scores of lawyers etc. We may be made whole again. The more I think about it, the better I like the strategy.
Well the folks in the South should try it. What ever they put on their pancakes now is making them very squirly.
is there anything in Detroit that hasn't gone bankrupt? Yes of course: The countless car repair shops.
a lot of fraudulent claims popped up. What do you mean BP doesn't want to know about them? They will be going after these frauds.
divest of all assets at premium prices, return all proceeds to shareholders and let the South hold the bag. It also frees up tons of lawyers to start class action lawsuits against the frauds. Good plan. Who says BP lawyers aren't smart.
The city of Biloxi, MS fraudulently claimed 15 million for a damaged baseball stadium and received ithe money Investigations showed there never had been a baseball stadium. Madoff received 150 years for fraud. These local government thugs deserve the same.
Its widespread, its deep, its dirty..and we have only started to uncover it. The dirt, the damage, the destruction, the greed...all so much worse and serious than the Macondo spill. Its going to take a big clean up.
I'd love to come to your gay wedding in my GM vehicle, but can it be towed by a tow truck? I won't run on its own.
I have owned such a Camry since 2005. Hasn't needed a single repair, never been recalled. My previous car, a Chevy Impala, was in the shop frequently. GM refused recalls although the car had several serious design flaws. Happily owning this Camry now. Perfect car. TOYOTA, if you like PERFECTION.
Considering the enormous backlog in government agencies gross negligence cases the justice department should simply pardon BP and go after the real problem which is Government gross negligence The back log is almost 55,000 cases.
