I made that point some months ago. Let us assume that the Board of D sees the same thing. The question is, why don't they deal with this? The real, hidden answer could be too frightening for the little people like us.
We'll need it for the future. But unless you can get your hands on the closing Income Statement before tonight, as far as you are concerned it is what it is. I just don't see a whole lot of money pouring into the stock right now.
He's telling us because this is a message board. Nobody is going to be posting any inside info here. All the pumping stuff is just B.S. All the dumping stuff is a waste of time. If you got a great stock here and can afford to lose your money, good luck. I appreciate his opinion.
That last sentence is balony. I'm living proof that it is. You must pay and pay for each and every one of your good deeds.
It was also 97 cents. Now it is 29 cents, close to its 6 month low. But there is not the slightest indication that anything good will happen. I hope something good WILL happen, but don't count on it like some of you guys are doing. If the smart money did not agree with me, the stock would be up to 97 cents right now. Good luck.
When the expected news comes in I have a feeling it won't be too good. Aside from Hak, the only other acquisitions are at discount. Look at Insider transactions in yahoo Finance. This stock price is collapsing. Of course, I'd like to be wrong.
Well expect to get even more nauseous. I'm long and if I were recommending this stock now as a buy, you can bet it would only be to an enemy. 1 to 3 year play? Well I've been in it for at lest 3 years. So what?
Nice talking with you but I must go now, and in the words of Vito Corleone, "Especially since your interests don't conflict with mine", I wish you well.
I see things differently. Look at cash flow data for last two quarters. Look at recent income. Look at collapse in price of coal and iron ore. Look at the predictions of same in the news. I don't expect you to share my opinion of the economy of U.S....and the world...and that is impending recession or worse. But I can only wonder why CLF stock price drops and drops. Some smart rich pros out there appear to be agreeing with me. As for your assumption that I am short...you are wrong...but what does that have to do with either the price of the stock or with you?
There are more serious matters at hand here than buying back stock to support the stock price. Survival is the real issue right now. Eliminate the dividend, tighten the belt, and use the cash to try to survive as a functioning business. If the management isn't doing this then what are they there for?
I understand. I got into this two years back. Since then it's been announcements about backlogs and the sale of 2 here and 3 there. I started out when it was a 90-odd cent stock, and it may soon see that again.
