They come out every Thursday except the second Thursday of the month, right?
What time on Thursday, do new ones get listed?
I'm with Ameritrade, and as of now, I don't see them.
"sell now - $155 guaranteed"
I followed your advice and sold short 1,000 shares of AMZN at 164.82 yesterday.
Now, I'm in the red by about $5,000.
I'd like to take your offer of guarantee. Where can I send you a bill?
I've been visiting this board since 7/23/10, that infamous day after the last earnings. His bets (buying calls) have been all profitable since 7/23/10 if his posts are genuine.
If he is working for a hedge fund, that fund must be doing extremely well, too.
Amazon.com is probably a store with the widest selection of merchandise in the world.
Does Walmart sell these?
If the option writer/seller who got assigned does not meet capital requirement, can he choose the time/day to buy/sell shares of underlying stock to meet fulfillment obligation within a certain time-frame, like within three trading days of assignment?
And if he doesn't meet the capital requirement, does his broker do the trade at Tuesday opening of the regular session?
Sorry to hear that you had a big loss. Yes, I think AMZN should go down at least for a while. The recent run-up is just absurd.
Good luck with your sold calls.
Oh, are you still keeping your September 140 calls? 20 contracts?
Curi, what did you do with the Sep 3 AMZN calls @130 you sold naked on September 1 when AMZN was below 131?
Did you cover today?
Or did you get assigned? If you got assigned, what are you going to do? Have you bought shares to deliver already? If not, how much time do you have to deliver shares?
I've never sold naked options, so these things are mystery to me. Sorry if my questions don't make sense.
Curi, what did you do with Sep 3 AMZN calls @130 you sold naked the day before yesterday?
Did you cover?
Or did you get assigned? If you got assigned, what are you going to do?
Hello, I'm new to trading and I have one specific question now. I hope someone here can answer it.
Question: Do stop orders for stocks get executed during After-Hour and Premarket Trading hours?
For example, if I placed a good-til-cancel market stop order to cover 100 shares of AMZN at 136.00 yesterday during the regular session, would my stop order have been executed by now?
(AMZN: currently above 137.00.)
Thank you in advance.
Curi, how do you know that MM's wrote those calls? Don't retail investors write calls, too?
Sorry, if my questions seem stupid. I'm new to options.
