Market Edge Says LINE is a BUY

    by legalbark Apr 11, 2015 8:41 AM

I have to admit, Market Edge makes some great calls. They're not all winners, but their technical work is generally reliable. They said "AVOID" LINE at $31 and put the "BUY" on the stock around $11.50. We're now at $13.11 as I type this message. GLTA

BBEP is a potential take over canidate. They filed an 8K with the SEC saying that on April 8th they entered into a "standstill agreement" With their new investor EIG. It's obvious you don't need a standstill agreement unless you're concerned EIG might try to take them over and put new management in place. EIG, who has looked at the books pretty carefully, likes what they see in BBEP. GLTA

Market Edge Says LINE is a BUY

Well, Ron, try buy-and-hold and sell out of the money calls against the position in a margin account. I know you're going to say that's risky, but so what? The entire stock market is a casino. I'm comfortable being very long LNCO and selling future calls for more income. I think it's better than day trading LINE which is falling back relative to LNCO. GLTA

I do too. I also try to enchance it with calls sold in the future, but eveyday I realsize this stock is going up and I have to buy my previous call sells in at more than I sold them for just to allow the underlying equity make money for me. GLTA

Rig count slaughter almost at bottom

I agree. The refiners will eat up the surplus storage as we move into the summer. Then, lack of new capital being spent on wells (see normal depletion of existing wells) should mean a peak and then a redudtion in oil output. But this is a global market, I have no idea what Russia or Venezula plan in terms of oil delivery. You can even add some other big potential producers to the list. GLTA

Market Edge Says LINE is a BUY

    by legalbark Apr 11, 2015 8:41 AM
legalbark legalbark Apr 11, 2015 12:26 PM Flag

Ron- It's not a Schwab research call. It's a Market Edge call from a technical standpoint;. Schwab simply makes Market Edge available on its site. Market Edge did a great job in spotting the drop by identifying LINE as an "AVOID" at $31 last September. Sometimes the technical indicators they follow show things ahead of when the fuindamentals become apparent. GLTA

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Market Edge, the technical service provided by Schwab, last week put a BUY on LINE. The past week seems to have validated the call and resistence is pegged at $11.67. If we break through that level this coming week, this will further validate the call. GLTA

    Bbep needs to make acquisition

    by smearjob Apr 8, 2015 11:51 AM
legalbark legalbark Apr 8, 2015 7:16 PM Flag

That's ridiculous. BBEP just had to pay the piper to get the infusion of capital to allow it to avoid a breach of its line of credit covenants. Go for a new acquistion? With what? BBEP will be under stress to just pay back it's line credit more than venture out and make a new acquisition. GLTA

I agree. I sold my LINE quite a while ago and moved the same money into LNCO. More shares, better yield and for my IRA better tax compatability. I think LNCO, over time, will go back to a premium over it's sister, LINE. Just one person's opinion. GLTA

Analyst-Remember, if you can, who passes the tax laws in this country. It's Congress with all the lobby people working for all the speciial interests- the President only has to not veto what Congress passes. Also, the current government situation is the result of Congressional action many years ago enacting the Bush tax cuts. How you lay all this on Obama is rediculous. GLTA

BBEP was decimated not only by the market action after it reduced it's distribution by 50% but by the negative analyst reports with one of them saying that $4 pps was right. Today, however, we're up over 4%. Either the shorts are covering or people believe that with a new major investor involved watching it's investment closely, that the reduction in commom unit distributions to the 8.5% area makes this stock a keeper with plently of cash flow to keep all the moving parts going and moving ahead. I'm llong 10,000 shares. GLTA

Does anyone know where LNCO stands in its Marketing Agreement to sell $500,000,000 of common units at market prices? Until that overhang is removed I don't think LNCO will correlate to the ups and downs of the oil market because that's just too many shares waiting in the wings to be dumped in the market whenever one of the managers decides to make a sale. Ken- Agreed. I think we both went in earlier at about the $9.50 price. I think it's the bottom and bot more today at $9.50. Great yield that I think will hold and selling forward calls at a nice premium. GLTA

1 Billion Dollar investment by EIG

    by ilovesilversilver Mar 30, 2015 7:43 AM
legalbark legalbark Mar 31, 2015 6:54 PM Flag

Yes, but think about it a bit more than a knee jerk reaction. Here's a very sophicated investor putting up a billion dollars of investment in BBEP. They are better at reading the financials than you or me. They insisted that the distribution to the old holders go down to $.50 a year. This protects their investment. So her I am, a holder of BBEP with a 9% return on the present price and in a margin account that amounts to an 18% return. Sell future calls against a fairly stable position and I don't know what more you could want. GLTA

  • legalbark legalbark Mar 30, 2015 5:38 PM Flag

BBEP recently put out 2015 guidance. I know it isn't binding becease of all the protection statements. Still, it essentially said that with cut back to $1.00 distribution everything was going to be OK. That's the way I read it and I'm sure other investors read it the same way. The management scrwed their investors. They know months before where things are going financially. How they could give the comfort of the $1 annual distribuution and then cut it 50% is outrageous. I hope they are sued to hell by plaintiff's lawyers. GLTA

So where are you with this stock? I bought 5000 at $6.10 and sold the April 10 calls at .$.40 against the position. I'm feeling pretty good as long as the monthly distribtution continues. GLTA

My money is still on BBEP at a bottom around $6. Therefore, I purchased 5000 shares at $6.10 and sold 50 April 6 calls at $.40. Not more than $1500 on a $15000 investment (margin account) . GLTA

I don't think you really get . LINE is issuing more LNCO shares in the market pursuat to their Marketing Agreement. This is having a very negative effec on the PPS of LNCO. Therefore, it will be over at some point. Now is the time to buy cheap. GLTA
