I don't think that's what management said. I heard them say any redetermination would not be below the current owed balance. Therefore, they may be 100% borrowed after the redetermination but they really don't have to take any drastic action. They plan to live within cash flow and generate $80 million in excess cash. I think the company is fine. GLTA

    1750% earnings beat, 2.27 vs .13 expected

Why don't you just relax and take the company at its word. Management is surrounded by SEC attorneys and I guarantee you, they would not say what they said today if they had any doubt. Why tell a lie and invite class action suits? i think the BBEP management know their business better than any of us and if they see the guidance as being met, I really don't know how someone outside the company working with old information can dispute it. Probably not, but the report does affirm that based on operations so far this year (2 months) they feel comfortable with the 2015 guidance given on January 2nd. That's what I consider the important point. GLTA

    Earnings Out March 3

    by thegreatbahoo Mar 2, 2015 1:21 PM

What difference do 4th Quarter earnings mean at this point? The whole pricing of oil and gas has changed dramatically and BBEP has given us their guidance for 2015. I can't imagine why anyone at this point of time would want to look in the rear view mirror to decide whether to make an investment. I think the more correct question would be is BBEP on track during the first two months of 2015 to achieve its guidance for 2015. GLTA

    What is the PV10 @ $50 a barrel?

I've listened to a number of oil and gas mlp calls the last month or so. They all indicate they're seeing substantial reductions in their costs. Rigs are less costly, support services are less costly, and at LGCY I understand the salaries were cut. Everyone is fixated on the price of oil and gas and no one seems to be giviing that much credit to the reductions in the cost side of the income statement. GLTA

I think your Wells Fargo advisor is right. Banks are in the game to make money. If you think a company is going into bankruptcy you cut the lines of credit. If you think the company is essenially sound and just going through a tough spot in its industry, the banks will normally work with the company because there's a bright future ahead. Let's see what happens. GLTA

    Another Hit Piece from Barron's

    by brryry47 Feb 19, 2015 12:26 PM

Well, I'm not a big fan of Barrons but I think they did tell us about a year ago, that LINE was really worth about $18 a share. They were a bit high in that projection but at least they got the direction straight. We all know, of course, this was before SA decided to unilaterally drop the world price of crude oil. No one was really contemplating that possibility. Still, it's SA that has sunk the ship on all the oil and gas companies- not Barrons. GLTA

You know, now is the time to raise equity and buy distressed oil and gas properties from others. Obviously the Private Equity firms can't just go out and iinvest. They need an operator that can evaluate the properties being offered and then operate them if acquired. You really need experienced "boots on the ground" and I believe LINE has the experience and experise to exploit this very unique moment in the oil and gas business to the benefit of management and the unit holders. Market Edge is a technical stock service available on Schwab. They put an "AVOID" on LINN at $31 last September. A pretty good technical call in hindsight. Two weeks ago Market Edge raised LINE to "Neutral". Today I checked as as of this weekend, Market Edge has LINE a "LONG". This is a remarkable change in the technical indicators which is all they follow. Let's see what happens. I happen to be very long sister company LNCO since around $9+. GLTA

Sit on your duff if you want. Still, I think the train is leaving the station and so I went in with my first position at $16.88. May not be the low, but I think the company is stable now and the distribution will go back up over time. GLTA

Relax. The guy was overextended. This is not a deep pocket person who can hold despite margin calls on loans. If this were Warren Buffet and he was unloading, I'd be concerned. With the CFO who is jus a salary and stock options person, the implications are less dire. GLTA

How many reasons do you want? I own a wad of this company and wish it the best. Still, we do have OPEC dropping the world price of oil which hurts revenue and will hurt worse once the current hedges play out. Then we have the enormous debt to buy the recent acquisition. Then we have the repriicing of their borrowing base in April that could result in a lowering of their borrowing capacity and perhaps require the sale of assets into a very depressed market. How many more do you need? GLTA

Think about it for a moment. How could a dividend of $.083 for the month account for almost $1 drop in the price of the stock? I don't think the ex-dividend date has anything to do with the recent price action. GLTA

I just thought about posting the same point. BBEP is currently in termoil. I own a lot of shares and believe in the long term viability of the company. Still, I noted an upcoming MLP Investor meeting sponsored by UBS and everyone was listed as participating with BBEP being a big exception. It may be the upcoming repricing of their credit line since I'm sure they're currently in discussions with the banks and don't want to say anything publicly. Still, they have to get off the pot at some point so here's hoping there will be good news. GLTA

I agree.Market Edge, the technical service available at Schwab just changed LINE from AVOID to NEUTRAL. They went to AVOID last September which was a great call for anyone paying attention. Their indicators show that LINE is now under accumulation. GLTA

Only if BBEP is over $9 by the third Friday of March. We'll just have to see.Barclay's Bank yesterday said BBEP was only worth $7. I bought the 10000 shares at $5.70 so even if they do get taken away I'll have about a $4 profit if you add the capital gain, the option premium and the monthly dividends. Pretty good for about a 2 month hold. GLTA

You made a great trade. Congratulations. I want to hold onto my BBEP so when it was over $9, I just sold 100 March 9 calls at $.65. They may expire worthless in which event I made $6500 less commissions. I still have my shares and I'm confident they'll be back over $10 by year end. GLTA

That's consistent with the market technical service, Market Edge. They changed their AVOID last weekend to a NEUTRAL based on evidence of accumulation of the shares. I'm holding on with selling 100 March 9 calls at $.65.

I watch this stock every day and have a big position. I sure seems like something more than the price of oil is accounting for the massive accumulation going on. Up 20% today on top of yesterday's gain. GLTA

Also consider EFC. I had a large position that held fairly steady while the high income oil and gas stocks crashed. I've liquidated and am now back in BBEP and LNCO since I think they have more upside potential than any of the financial stocks that will probably continue to pay high dividends (fully taxable) but have limited capital appreciation potential.
