Thanks Drew, I see it! It's the S&P 500 VIX correct? Thanks!
I can find it? thanks!
Drew, you mean you want to get into UVXY if the market is flat at opening? Are you worried about the last minute dive of UVXY on Fri that may follow through this week?
start heading down. This may give me an opportunity to close out my sold PUTS last week tomorrow, but I hate to see those gains loss had I held on till Fri. Decisions decisions. Investing in UVXY is the same thing as gambling, but I want to make back the losses I had.
Masmale1, sorry I didn't mean to do that. I merely wanted to know why you said what you said. I didn't ask if you believe UVXY will be in the teens, but rather why you said that to begin with. I remember before you said that come later this year, you believe that the market will go down the crapper. If that happens, how can UVXY be in the teens? In addition, I'm not asking to question you, but to rather learn or gain more understanding from you. It is obvious you are far more experience in your analysis than me.
Drew, my questions for purposes of learning. I keep asking masmale1 because he seems to be the most knowledgeable one here, and also most respectful too. I'm not asking him to be my financial planner, but just want to know his thinking and analysis.
the economy thus far?
If UVXY tests 69, then I'm good. Unless you that's a typo. If UVXY sinks I'll probably just close it out or sell a Call.
Bmohorek, I'm thinking that they made a mistake if that is even possible? Either way though, you should have been assigned by one. You should have been assigned with the 61.5 Calls since the stock closed above that strike price.
Now did you have same number of contracts?
my breakeven point is $51. However, if UVXY tanks hard into the $30s, then I'm going to lose quite a bit.
That's why I was wondering on some of the experienced traders' opinion for this coming week's action on UVXY. I may have to cut my losses and close it out Monday morning. I just hope it doesn't tank hard at the open.
UVXY: more reward, BUT more risk. I was almost COMPLETELY wiped out, but luckily the next morning we had that huge up day.
I guess a safe bet is SVXY.
However, with these stocks holding a week is like an eternity. A year? That's hell.
Is this the beginning of UVXY's demise and revisit the $30s?
They have decreased considerably! Does that mean volatility will also the decrease?
Don't understand why it sank so hard in the last 10 mins?
$25? 60% less than current price? I don't think so. I think the ratio is 2.2 ^VIX to 1 UVXY.
Meaning 2.2(VIX share price) = to UVXY share price.
I guess the question is how long can the fear factor last?
