See it succeed. A bit twisted.
Great post....... I don't recall any past release where fill was a debatable issue...... As a counter, why is no one raising the point that all Apple sales are final....and the carriers...distributors...buy under a fixed contract..... So whether they sold, filled sat in boxes, remained on trucks are irrelevant. Have not seen one mention of this to dispute the channel fill ....
Could buy any company, repurchase 30% of its stock! increase Dividend by 50%. With money to spare...
At some point one or more of these events will occur.
When long term holders look at the continuous move up of FB! and others???there is a temptation to sell and join the other teams........ When you see officers sell before earnings, also makes you wonder........ Like many I love Apple products, have a long position, but the action on the stock is annoying.
Thanks for a thoughtful, positive and constructive response.... Hope others will follow.
Too much time being wasted on the analysts...... And CNBC , and I am as guilty as most. Let's move forward. And focus on the future, reviews by users, trends in I radio, new pads, wearables, Mac upgrades, new features, utilization of Apple's cash, strategy......... Constructive debate......
Phones and delivery mechanisms will be ancillary discussions.
Very little talk about the wonderful improvements in Wi FI and speed , Flash et on the upgrade. Macs will be a sleeper bounce in the 4th Q...
There is no transparency, no continuous communication, few press releases, and a genuine air of arrogance, which may or may not have merit.
They keep everyone guessing, make some significant mistakes, are not humble in defeat, and earn extraordinary profits , sometimes at the expense of their partners, and customers. Not to minimize the critical path of profit generation, but without a visible global give back........the window is open for criticism.
The catch 22 is they are in the most competitive business in the world, and secrecy is critical. But somehow Apple has not been able, through Cook, or any other spokesperson, to balance secrecy to protect IP and technology! with making friends! building relationships! and creating open dialog with their shareholders.
We just don't know...where the train is at.....or where it is going..... And the analysts, who can influence the value, feel this also. There needs to be a better way.
He seems to be getting support...... Don't know if he wants to stay, but might be good to let him finish the job,and see us through the unwinding of QE3.
